When is the final? Thursday?

4th May I think

academicallyblonde · 24/04/2023 21:15

Give up now Duncan. It’s always going to be about Alyssa.

It is an interesting idea about putting them all in a lodge together at the beginning and letting them spend a weekend deciding who they want up "marry" on the Sunday evening

The ixperts have already decided who should be with who but it would be interesting how they compare with the actual weekend results

😁😁😁😁

You need to watch Are You The One

sofamarathon · 24/04/2023 21:17

Melinda has the biggest following of everyone

sofamarathon · 24/04/2023 21:18

Final on 4 May?

Hew they dragging it out for another 2 weeks?

How has Mel put herself in Layton's shoes?
I get how frustrating he is but it's a 2 way street Mel.

Yep. I find this one-sidedness from Mel so frustrating and I can't remember it ever being called out by the Experts. In fact John seems to dig at Layton constantly. They, especially John, never her to put herself in Layton's shoes. Until she does I can't see this relationship progressing in a positive way. 🌹

So home stays and final dinner party next week. Final vows and reunion week after. That’s how I think it will go but may be wrong

happinessischocolate · 24/04/2023 21:31

Harrison; I'm staying because it would be easy to leave 🤦‍♀️

That's not how relationships work you dickhead

Lyndall has stayed because she finds it hard to leave because she cares

Duncan cares, Layton and Mel care that's why they stay

If a bf said to me it would be easy to leave, I'd say go and fuck off then

Rebelmcstreettuff · 24/04/2023 21:33

Feel really sorry for Duncan,he can't do right for doing wrong,Alyssa really is a nutter.

Can't believe Layton didn't realise Bronte was dropping poison in his ear re Melinda.

Someone please swill Harrison and wipe that smirk off his face.

Romeiswheretheheartis · 24/04/2023 21:34

Has Bronte forgotten that Harrison dumped her by text??

I nearly spat out my tea at 'chemistry'. I've never, with the exception of Tayla and Hugo, seen less chemistry.

Did anyone watch Derren Brown last night?

I think Bronte must have been part of his "forget" stuff experience

Rummikub · 24/04/2023 22:00

Blimey Harrison! He couldn’t wriggle out of what he’d said about not going to
perth. Well done Ollie for speaking up finally.

mewkins · 24/04/2023 22:00

browneyes77 · 24/04/2023 20:04

The ixperts were never going to take Laytons side because he didn’t do their task properly.

Both of their feelings were valid. They both just communicated them poorly. And that’s on both of them not just Layton.

Ixperts should’ve focussed on that.

I find Layton and his stubbornness really annoying. It's like he sets his mind on something and there is no discussion. I'd find that tough. His decisions also don't make much sense.

Paul2023 · 24/04/2023 22:14

Alyssa is very good at making it all
about her. Duncan pours his heart out on the sofa and she says she feel’s rejected!

Maybe , just maybe Duncan feels rejected!

I think Alyssa is probably quite selfish and I think a nightmare to be in a relationship with.

But do you not see exactly the same in Mel? She just expresses it differently. He quietly and coldly stubborn. She's loudly and passionately stubborn.

MelsMoneyTree · 24/04/2023 22:16

Leyton also seems to shut down if it's a conversation he doesn't want to have. He doesn't do emotion. He doesn't do a conversation where he already has a firm opinion. I think it's hard to get below the surface with him. But whenever he's on the couch, at least he seems as though he wants to try to tap into his emotions more.

I felt I missed something with the Evelyn / Harrison showdown. What did Harrison do to Evelyn and Rupert? I know he brought up the butt dial again to Mel but I don't see how that affected Ev and Rupert.

Paul2023 · 24/04/2023 22:17

Alyssa- all she says is she feel’s rejected and her son is her number one priority.

Yeah great Alyssa. It’s all about you eh?

Your son is such a priory, you decided to marry a stranger on a reality tv show and be away from home for a couple of months.

dapsnotplimsolls · 24/04/2023 22:18

Just caught up. Hazza and Alyssa can get in the sea.

I guess but I think Layton is illogical (for all his statements about how he only uses his head). The stuff about not taking part in tasks didn't really make sense.

burnoutbabe · 24/04/2023 22:38

I mean that last task was clearly designed to cause drama abs annoyance for Layton and Mel. He can see that's why they are doing it.

Him having to also live with Brontë makes no sense to the task -just means he has 3 unconfirmed nights on a sofa? Just doing an afternoon out like before seemed fine versus 3 days.

mewkins · 24/04/2023 22:51

The whole series is full of pointless tasks (which presumably you know when you sign up for it).

RegainingTheWill2023 · 24/04/2023 22:56

I think he felt completely self conscious doing the staring activity but doesn't know how to talk about his feelings so instead dismissed the task as useless.
And he reacted exactly as Mel did initially when the swap was imposed. She then changed her mind (which disappointed me massively) but he dug his heels in. I think his excuse about morals was again because he couldn't articulate how he was feeling. He just knew he wasn't budging and felt let down by Mel not respecting how he felt.
Layton can't express himself and Mel can't listen.

secretfreckle · 24/04/2023 23:02

What was going on tonight? I felt like I've missed an episode when Evelyn started talking about what Harrison had done to her and Rupert. What was she on about?(I've not missed a single episode)
Alyssa: turning on the waterworks when Duncan was getting some sympathy. He's too good for her! Relationships shouldn't be such hard work.
Lyndall: has given up
Ollie and Tahnee: ❤️ them

Bluetrews25 · 24/04/2023 20:59

Ollie! You snitch 😂

Good on him! He just couldn't hold that one in. 🌹
