I don't understand. Don't these couples ever talk about work and their lives? How could Lyndall think that she would want to go and live with Cam in a remote community anyway, particularly as his mother-in-law is one of the most vile people I've seen on TV?

They absolutely won’t make it.

I think the couple swap has been a real eye opener for Lyndall. She wants someone who is committed. She has limited time due to her illness. She doesn’t want to waste it and wants someone who can obviously be there by her side to live life to the fullest. If Cam is away most of the time, she simply couldn’t do that with him. And she can’t have an adult discussion with him about how she feels anyway.

I think she’s checking out.

I think Lyndall (and maybe others) has been experiencing a form of Stockholm syndrome. She's had to build some sort of relationship with Cam as that's who's she's been locked up paired with. Spending time with a functioning adult (Ollie) she's been reminded what a normal relationship looks like.
