Oh that was awful! So sad!

So Elaine has made Linda sack Alfie just before she disappears and leaves her to run the pub with only Tracey to help and a baby and sn child to look after - righty-o then! Hmm

I know, right! Talk about terrible timing.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/05/2023 20:56

Agree storyline hasn't really got to me
But last nights with Lola shouting at lexi go away and her little face 🥲🥲

Linda's mum bf. Haven't a clue but won't be max or mick.

Stacey's make up last night was horrific.

Wonder what she gets paid for a flash of her boobs

Awwww just seen tonight's

Sniff

No make up. No nails. No eyelashes.

Hope she dies peacefully in her sleep so poor billy doesn't have to kill his grandaughter

Linda mum isn't very nice getting rid of alfie. How will be pay the rent now

And again why is Stacey so poor. Esp as Harvey is always in the pub

Don't they share the household bills /rent

Elaine is a selfish so and so.

After tonight's episode, it would appear they are heading towards a euthanasia storyline with Lola and Billy.

EE already did that with Ethel and Dot though!

I'm not liking the whole billy killing Lola. I can't imagine what Lola is thinking of asking that from Billy- she seemed a bit manipulative in convincing him other wise. Not only that, but the grilling he will receive from Ben and Phil if he does it and talk about a risk heading to prison! If she is that desperate, Ben has money, I'm sure she will gather funds to go to a place where it's done legally.

iknowimcoming · 18/05/2023 13:25

I can't remember what happened with dot and Ethel (and don't want to Google in case of spoilers obvs) Ethel's death was expected - she was very elderly and ill, so it wouldn't have been suspicious but I've got a nagging feeling that Dot might've confessed to the police/Dr Legg when the guilt got too much?

JMSA · 18/05/2023 13:44

I agree that it's too much to ask of Billy. Lexi is very, very babied and always has been. She can't be protected from everything unfortunately Sad

Bunionbabe · 18/05/2023 14:44

In real life Lola would prob be under the care of a hospice. She would receive pain relieving and sedative medication and would be made as comfortable as possible. The whole assisted dying story is ridiculous. There is no need and anyway Billy is an idiot.

My thoughts exactly. I've mentioned before on here that my mum died from GBM and even though she was far older than Lola, the way it's been depicted in Lola's case is so unrealistic. With weeks left she'd likely not be able to swallow or stay awake, let alone walk about the square. I really hope they don't follow this assisted dying storyline. At this stage my mum was at home with family around her and hospice support. I know it's Eastenders, but for anyone watching in a similar position it's completely unrealistic and stupid.

She'd only be in a hospice if she wanted to be

lazymum99 · 18/05/2023 18:01

If she really wanted to Lola could end her own life at the moment without involving Billy. She only has weeks to live. She needs to discuss end of life care with the professionals and should be able to be given enough medication to be made comfortable even if she is mostly asleep.

Jellykat · 18/05/2023 19:41

Oh oh, one of those episodes,... surely Lola isnt going to die tonight by the sea, or fall asleep and thats it? Hmm

Bunionbabe · 18/05/2023 19:48

Hospice care more often happens at home. Our local hospice does outreach work with many patients. Most don't want to be an in patient.

Jellykat · 18/05/2023 19:59

Phew, i was wrong.. Smile

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/05/2023 20:08

In floods of tears rn.

Lovely episode. I think with the Lola story they NEED the end to come in the next 2 weeks or interest will slip more.

Loving the story around the Vic proper old skool soap levels brewing. 👌

the80sweregreat · 18/05/2023 20:23

It'll be sad when it happens and I hope it's tastefully done and the three men in lexis life can sort out the parental responsibility etc.
I hope they don't forget her , she is a lovely character.
Lexi will struggle , I Hope her Nan ( Emma ) doesn't turn up causing agg!

qazxc · 18/05/2023 21:02

I think Phil is bothered about faamily when they're male. He bothers with Ben, he bothers with Kat's boys. But not about Louise, his granddaughters, Amy,....

Bonjovispyjamas · 18/05/2023 21:21

My Dad was in a hospice for a month before he died so can be longer. This is going to be so heartbreaking whenever it may happen 💔

GoodChat · 18/05/2023 21:35

I think that was her goodbye tonight

bizzey · 18/05/2023 22:16

Lola/Danielle is flipping amazing 💔💔😭.

Really hope she wins an award.

Her scenes with Lexi are so real and heartfelt.

Fiddlersgreen · 18/05/2023 22:17

I think the Jay actor is brilliant too

kerstina · 18/05/2023 22:21

Yes I agree I think that is was Lola’s goodbye tonight .It was extremely powerful the last couple of minutes with her calling out for J with them both looking young and vibrant and him being right by her side . So emotional.

I had a quick search-ey 'cos I was sure Dot was arrested and went to prison, but it showed that she wasn't charged with killing Ethel so took matters into her own hands and shoplifted to get arrested as she felt guilty and felt she desreved to be punished for something.
