Aesha has just announced she is Chief Stew on the new series of BD Med starting 3rd June

That’s good news.

I caught up today. Paris seems to be great. Things seem to have settled in camp Stew. On the one hand I love Captain Kerry’s firing technique but on the other it feels a bit gas lighty when he says that he’s “doing this for you” 😂

Where is Hayu up to as we’re streaming on another service? Don’t want to post any spoilers…

We've seen s11 e16. There is at least one more episode this series. It will be shown tomorrow.
(Captain has just done the cabin check. Ben continues to drive me mad with the way he has manipulated Sunny into accepting some sort of FWB situation. I just want to hug her and say - 'You deserve so much better. Hold your head high and tell him where to go.' I'm sure she will at some point. - this is where I like to see a reunion episode.

In other news Summer House has been my favourite series so far. My predictions - Paige will break Craig's heart - not that it is deliberate.
Amanda won't make the swim suits. (As Paige said on the aftershow - here we are 6 months later. Kyle is DJing and Amanda hasn't changed. - I really hope she finds her thing though as she's lovely.)
I don't think West and Ciara will last. I think she's at a different life stage to him.
I hope we have the same cast next year....maybe minus Lyndsey snd Carl. (Carl always needed to just go and be sober. Not be on TV. Not have a relationship. Not smoke pot to relax....Be Sober and work through his issues. I said last year I though their relationship might have been for TV......I still think that a bit.)
Again I am looking forward to the reunion.

I’m behind in SH but an ep or two. Craig and Paige is difficult as both love their lives so much neither should have to sacrifice that or are in a position to. I can’t see a way forward unless Craig takes to plunge or they have a split life between Charleston and NY. Whilst that sounds mad, Dani from
H&A split her and her family’s life between LA and Australia so it could be done. I think Craig could make the move but would ultimately feel crap about it after a while. I’ve liked Paige more recently.

I’ve liked both the new boys so I hope they come back. I could lose Danielle now tbh. I used to like her but since she’s single Danielle she’s a dickhead.

Oh and I hope Andy grills Kyle for what he said to Amanda when she tried to talk to him about having her own business. I hope he’s watched it back and had a realisation that he is totally the problem.

Just watched the season finale. Barbie was totally in the right in the car! Why did Xandi start on her saying she should have been fired etc? and then Paris (who has been annoying since she arrived) piling on as well! Then Xandi crying and going all hysterical when she started the whole thing. And all of them laughing about her after she'd left, and snaky Ben running to Captain and totally downplaying Xandi's comments. Bunch of arseholes.

Meh, I thought Xandi was attempting to make a joke that landed poorly and then it exploded from there. Everyone overreacted. As per usual Below Deck’s approach to excessive alcohol consumption causes drama!

Yeah, Xandi said she felt bad about it. I think Barbie was fine to react but just then went OTT and stormed off. She was awful to Kyle who she has just said she loved. It was just too much booze and could have been fine if she had stayed. I do think that it showed that it showed Barbie’s snobby side in the heat of the moment and whilst she might just say those things to feel better or hurt others I think it shows how she wouldn’t really accept Kyle’s world. Like Chef said, neither were wrong. But they just don’t fit and neither will bend.

For BD the drama has been pretty low key the last few eps.

Paris and Barbie are clearly fine on WWHL the other week.

Not started it yet. What’s did he say? How did you know it was him? Was it a Q and A thing or something? I’ve only seen Joe Public in there so no idea how you know a verified person is there.

I don't think I can link to Reddit. It's not a massive deal, I'm just mentioning it because it made me smile.
He - or his Verified User alter-ego - does appear to respond, but really only with memes or gifs. (So note I said "responded"....). The thread I commented on was about Ben (slimy and disrespectful), Barbie (highly-strung), and Sunny (self-worth issues).
But he does engage on a lot of them I think, I don't consider myself special or anything 🙄
The thread I commented on was titled "Captain Kerry annihilating Ben" and started with a screenshot of one of CK's comments. (My u/n is ALongShadow if you want to check it out/don't believe me....)

As I said, the S9 BD Med is not looking (imo) very good - with an already very stressed Third, several male Deck crew who think rather too highly of themselves, a (first) I believe filmed introduction to the other actual crew (who did not seem impressed), and a first charter from absolute Hell, not helped by the many many (contrived) problems right from the start.

(The stupidity of steaming/ironing all the guest clothing was beyond bonkers. Again, contrived, but there was no clarification, which is partly down to Aesha - she should have, in a professional manner, managed the guest expectations, and agreed to prep their first evening/day clothes... - so much for being a "kind and fair leader".)

Oh no don’t take offence. I didn’t mean you thought you were special or I didn’t believe you. I just don’t know how to spot real accounts on Reddit and excited that he responded! I promise there was no shade.

I think the start was ok, I have seen actual crew introduced before, if you mean the engineers etc, it just hasn’t been done for a few seasons.
It might be that Bri, the 3rd stew, bigged up her actual laundry/housekeeping experience, it’s happened before. She said in her confessional that she’d grown up with a maid, she’d clearly not done any ironing before. Also, Aesha was struggling with getting the provisions delivered, as well as managing quite demanding guests. I’m unsure about Elena waking the chef to make very late night food, I’ve seen some chefs being woken up and some stews just getting on with it but she was having to make various cocktails as well, maybe she should have got Gael helping out a bit more but I’m not sure she knew how to make cocktails or the food requested.
For me, it’s too early to decide if it’s going to be a good season or not but what I have noticed is that there’s more ‘arty farty’ camera shots already, same as in the BD season that’s just finished.

I don't know for sure either, but feel inclined to believe that he is the real McCoy on there, and the verification reads that way to me.

Right. i hadn't seen the introductions done before, but have only watched maybe the last three seasons of BD Med. I was always loyal to the original, and preferred the locations. And Captain Lee, Kate and Ben (even though I think he started on Med...)
The provisions fiasco was terrible, and boo to the Provisioner.
But I still think there might have been a better way to handle the ironing.|
I predict she won't last long, sadly.
And if she had a privileged upbringing, why did she think she would be able to hack it as a glorified maid herself? 🤔

it was several seasons ago, it was BD Med when Malia was either bosun or lead deckie, Sandy introduced the engineers and Malia went on to have a relationship with one of them, after the chef guy she was with.

One of the current stews will leave mid season, if not within a few charters but I can’t decide if it’ll be Bri or Elena. Elena I suspect will not get on with the chef and after seeing the clip of ‘next on’ it could be her, or it could be both stews as Bri I think will struggle with the housekeeping.

Yes, Season 9 started on 3 June.

Yeah we just continue on as the new series come out so just finished the regular BD now on to Med. We sometimes chat other Bravo/Hayu shows too.

What was with all the provisioning nonsense? Why didn't anyone jump in a cab and go shopping? Looks like the stew with the boyfriend doesn't take long to put him to the back of her mind, couldn't work out who she gets with but clearly that is going to put stress on the two stews. I actually still wish they wouldn't show so much of what's coming up though 😫

Surely one of them could have popped to the corner shop for wine?
