What was the whole point of Cain and Caleb's past if they are not even related? There's no way Faith slept with Frank. They weren't even in the village at the same time.

And not sure Caleb can have any claim to Home Farm as it's been sold several times over since Frank Tate owned it.

I didn’t connect Caleb and Nicky. But their arrival did puzzle me at the time. Especially Caleb. He was sniffing around the Dingles while being everyone’s guardian Angel. Then the next thing he’s at the big house as a business associate of Kim’s. I think they’ve picked the wrong woman to cross. Kim will hang them out to dry when it all comes out.

Say what?? What was the back story for? Why did he visit Cain in prison and get so involved with the Dingles? I'm so confused

Yes I'm confused about the Dingle involvement. Why was Caleb on the phone to someone saying "he doesn't suspect a thing" which we all took to mean Cain? Maybe he's not Chas and Cain's brother at all but knew the real Caleb (in prison) so means that Cain doesn't suspect it's someone pretending to be his brother 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm getting close to giving up on this nonsense. I've watched all the Classic episodes from when Frank Tate was in it. Faith was never around and I don't even remember Cain mentioning his mother at all.
Same with Nate. His mum was allegedly a barmaid who Cain had a fling with. That would have come up by now in Classic but of course she's never been mentioned.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall at one of their scriptwriters' meetings. Do they have slips of paper with the most ridiculous ideas on them, that are put in a hat and pulled out.

The Caleb, Nicky, Gus tripe has been too much all in one week.

I think the writers forget that classic Emmerdale is shown.

No point whatsoever to Gus turning up out of the blue. Not interested in him whatsoever.

I need help please? I have no idea about tate history. I watched it as a child in the 90s but only for the lambs. Who is Frank tate? If caleb is Frank's son does that mean he can't be a dingle? I'd watched that as caleb and nick being brothers but reading these comments did he say caleb is his dad?

Frank Tate was Kim Tate's first husband and original owner of Home Farm. Chris and Zoe Tate were his kids (but not Kim's). Kim's son Jamie is also Frank's son. Kim set him up for murder by faking her own death and then watched him die of a heart attack.

There is no way Caleb can be a Dingle as Faith and Frank's time on Emmerdale never coincided. Although the writers may try and rewrite history 🙄

Caleb is Nicky's step dad but it sounds as though he brought him up from what Nicky said tonight.
