Sorry I've got brain fog...so Frank Tate is Caleb's dad and he wants revenge on Kim for cheating him out of his inheritance is that it?? Also is Faith definitely his mother? just seems odd....no hints before of that going on in the past Faith and Frank! ....Hope Kim runs them out of town Caleb and Nicky! Not a fan of the new love interest for Rhona's mum....

@ilovebrie8 caleb actor done an interview saying faith is mam and Frank is dad. I don't know Frank at all but I'm struggling to believe any of this is possible. I hope Kim destroys them both.

Way things is going Faye will turn out to be nickys mum. Using Mary's 5 minute friendship with Kim as a way to get to her.

I read online that the balcony push was a clue to this whole nonsense, ie it was Faith’s payback to Kim for killing Frank. But I can’t believe the scriptwriters were thinking that far ahead (wasn’t balcony-gate about 6 years ago?) and it still makes no sense whatsoever. How would Faith have known Kim killed Frank? It’s also completely implausible that she somehow met Frank, fell pregnant, went to prison and had a baby and never mentioned any of this to anyone - even when she was on her deathbed. She was portrayed as a bit of a chancer, always after money so surely she would have tried to make the most of her ‘connection’ to the rich Tates.

I read that to @Eastie77Returns 🙄 I think the writers are just clutching at straws as they realise their viewers are not impressed.

None of the Caleb/Frank/Faith thing makes any sense. Kim has always been a hard-nosed businesswoman who is nobody's fool yet she's taking heed of everything that Caleb says when she's known him for all of 10 minutes.

Did Mary fall on hard times before she came to the village. I'm wondering because she'd apparently been a journalist (although when Rhona came to the village she said both her parents were doctors) so presumably she would have had her own house. Then she could have sold it and bought one in Emmerdale rather than be bunking up in Rhona's.

All the wonderful theories that we came up with for Caleb's arrival in the village. Every single one of them were better than what has been dished up to us. What a waste.

Although I'm quite pleased that Caleb isn't out to destroy Cain which was my initial fear.

Exactly @RaraRachael Kim is being totally dumbed down and I do not like it. There's no way she'd listen to anyone she's known 5 minutes when she's an expert business woman and manipulator.

However, I think the trigger in her being dumbed down was taking Will back after he was absolutely vile to her. The old Kim would have destroyed him not welcomed him back with open arms.

It’s all tosh Kim wouldn’t be listening to Caleb after knowing him for all of 5 mins! This is dire they way this has turned out. Kim is one of my faves and agree she should have shown Will the door after the way he treated her! They need to get decent writers in. Rhona now changed her mind what a non story and pointless now she’s changed her mind

Also, at the time of Frank’s death, there was a big story around the will, with Kim inheriting Home Farm ahead of Chris and Zoë. Why would a will that didn’t favour the children he’d raised contain clauses regarding potential illegitimate children?
