New Taskmaster- anyone watching?

I know he's controversial but I do love Frankie Boyle...

I knew the candle trick from science lessons at school. Oh I've got such a good memory! They mustn't do that any more in science. I quite enjoyed this week apart from Lucy 🙄

I knew there was something to do with the candle but couldn’t for the life of me remember what it was!

Loved tonight’s final task too - simple but effective.

I obviously didnt pay attention to school science lessons!
I wouldve done Julians pull the plate off way..

I guessed there was invisible ink on the plain sheet of paper. Once it had been revealed I did remember the trick to get the water in the vase but no way would I have remembered it unprompted.

I wonder if they'd have allowed it if none had spilled but there were still some drops on the plate - or whether Sue would have had to lick round the corners! I think they'd have said the drop were in her not the case and even if she spat them on the tissue she used to wipe the plate and put it on top of the vase, it wasn't really inside. You couldn't get any more inside once you'd used the candle trick.

Maybe she was just getting the last drops clean because she knew she'd already lost

I did like the teapot gang; I though that was pretty good, though maybe not scary enough

Lucy doing the balloon task so poorly was initially quite funny but she overdid it afterwards with pretending that she still couldn't fathom that there was any other way of doing it, when they'd literally just showed someone doing it from further away. It was like she'd already planned to say that regardless. I just really hate people pretending to be less intelligent than they are to get laughs.

Admittedly her non-sensical attempt at the googly eye task did make me laugh though. I liked this episode a lot in general.

Sam is still my fave, I bloody love him I've booked to go see him live in February.

Lucy is spoiling it for me. Love the others. Wasn't sure about Sam at first but I get him now.

Sue's delight when the candle worked was hilarious.

I think Julian's teapot gang deserved more.

I'm absolutely loving Sam. I find him so eccentric and endearing.

The candle trick was amazing - I didn't know that, so to see Sue's delight was utterly charming. As was the way she sabotaged herself in the live challenge.

I'm finding Susan a bit forgettable - a nice lady, but to be honest, if I had to name all five contestants this series I would struggle to remember her.

Julian I absolutely adore as well. He's such a classic gentleman

I don’t mind Lucy, I agree that Susan is quite forgettable though.

I felt as though Susan was wearing a jumper that said, “Tell me your name is Susan, without saying it.” I loved it and I’m jealous because I want one of my own. I’m now going to look for other names for family members as well! 😂

It took me a while to work out what Susan's top said and it made me smile.

I loathe Sam for no reason I can come up with. I think it's his smile which makes him look sneery to me. If I had to be stuck in a lift with him or Lucy, I'd choose Lucy.

Ooh, now I’ve discovered Taskmaster Sweden. It’s subtitled, but I’ve not watched any yet.

It's very different, @Umanresources but David Sundin is top notch as the assistant (and far more acrobatic than you would expect for a short, round, middle aged man!). As with a lot of the foreign ones, the first season is a bit awkward but they find their feet in the second one

It made me laugh when their first task was the popping of the bubblewrap, the one that Alex Horne said they left out because it was boring. I quite enjoyed it though. I need to watch the rest of them but so far it’s good.

Confess - who scanned Alex’s QR code at the start?! I didn’t grab my phone fast enough so will watch again on catch up, if I remember!

I tried but I wasn't fast enough either!

I didn’t scan at the beginning, but because it’s recorded I started it again and scanned 😂

I actually warmed to Lucy in this episode. She can be so dry sometimes, like when she said "people actually watch this?"

Thought the tasks were all a bit boring this week. I did think Lucy was better though.

Wasn’t a great week with the exception of the live pineapple task which made me properly laugh.

I thought the robot vacuum one would have been way better if the arena was larger and they had to do more moving around and dodging. I don’t think needed a knee on the floor added much.

I don’t get the Lucy hate. I like her.
