Gemma is not much better whining on about her wedding all the bloody time.

The Corrie brides are nightmares, one is obsessed with scamming freebies the other wants her brother to pay for everything.

Oh of course Gemma's venue has gone bust and there's no money for the wedding and Paul was there when she took the call and new neighbour Damon's a drug dealer Paul's broke and Paul's just moved in with Holy Billy Prayerhands and Bernie wants a holiday and Gemma wants a princess wedding this is utter utter crap from start to finish.

Well I suppose if Paul does all this dodgy dealings and gets caught..he will end up back in prison and then Corrie writers won't have to deal with the MND storyline ?

Unless they get the diagnosis wrong ...he doesn't have MND ...but still ends up in prison .

Can no one in that street just have an ingrown toenail or a boil on the bum?! No it has to be the most extreme and unlikely set of tragedies hitting whole families. Am looking forward to the king's coronation being mentioned and the street party which of course Roy will cater for and the quads will appear in lovely matching royal outfits. They HAVE to do something for the coronation surely.

It's hard to know where they will go from here with the MND diagnosis. Surely we won't have months, perhaps even years of Paul getting sicker abd sicker, who would want to watch that? And bloody Summer and Billy simpering around him. Maybe he will go to Switzerland to end his life, they haven't done that yet. Either way, it's going to be bloody grim.

I'm a bit behind so have just watched the Daisy & Justin acid episode - thought that was so well done & very upsetting. I'd like her to properly get with Ryan as think they seem like they'd make a fun couple and he's much more on her wavelength than Daniel! He'd at least treat her as an equal for a start and not like an airhead!

I think of Paul as more of a Pollux.

Gary has various kids he has forgotten. Did Rover vanish too , Steves dog? Rover Tiny Tracy kitten...does Steve have an animal rescue centre down the allotments? Nobody goes there any more.

I used to like the MacDonald twins (even though non identical they looked nothing like each other) and wondered why when Andy left they didn't bring a new one in with the usual different head.
So! I did a little search and found that the producers had "a cull" of characters, their words and it's online! So producers I am saying a massive cull is needed right now! It's way overdue. Compared to 20 years ago the street now has far too many characters to invent plausible storylines for. Oh and Steve MacDonald's buffoonery just isn't funny at all.

I actually think we need more characters, not less. Just doing normal stuff, going for interviews, dreading the dentist, begin stood up or ghosted, dc starting school and maybe facing toxic mums in the schoolyard. It might not be exciting but there is drama and humour in every day things and I would really like to see more of that.
