Not sure if Paul will be written out or not? If he does get MND diagnosis, it could show how he adapts to life with such a disease and how it progresses. Some people can live a long time with it (Stephen Hawkin).

As for summer, I like how she's been with Amy but I do wish she'd get something "about her". There's little to her personality!

They are so pathetic about serious subjects. Even with good actors.

There only used to be two episodes a week in Hilda’s day, @MrsKHunt - that’s why she and a lot of the characters from the earlier years don’t make the list.

If Paul gets this diagnosis (and it definitely looks like where this is heading), I really hope they do the storyline justice and don’t forget all about it after a couple of weeks, like they usually do.
Just about everyone on the street has had some serious illness/accident, and in most cases it’s completely forgotten about.

It does look likely. Im hoping he has bumped his funny bone or something so they can forget it. Because they don't do things well.

They always say it is all about awareness but I just switch off during these illness plots. I had completely forgot what little Oliver died from.

Paul is a really annoying character so cba to care about him.
His weird overacting down his nose gets on my nerves and I suppose we will be treated to anguished me me me me Billy 🙄

Every time I see Billy do that prayer hands gesture I want to punch the screen. He also seems to spend more time in the cafe and that tiny flat than out doing his important vicarring. His smart leather man bag always looks empty too. Pah!

P.S. There's a far better Billy over in the Dales but their vicar is a bit of an arse too 😁

Poor Paul. I hope he manages to confide in Billy soon. He seems to be very friendly with DeeDee (or however her name is spelt). I think she'd be supportive. I think he should tell Gemma, they're twins after all and twins usually have a special bond. Bernie would be a difficult one, how the hell do you tell your mum you're going to die before her....and Bernie is so off the wall, who knows how she'd respond. I wouldn't like to have told my mum that, she would have been so upset, it would make me even more upset than I already was.
