Max is once again given a storyline. Why why why does he speak with that lispy choppy voice? Has he been directed to do that? I doubt it so it's probably how he speaks off set. Weird.

I certainly watch it a lot less than I used to. When I do watch it, it is only bearable because of these threads.

The Max / phone story is one of the stupidest storylines I have ever seen on any soap, and that's saying something. There's Ryan, acting his little heart out in full prosthetic makeup, all for the plot outcome to now hinge on that stupid phone-in-a-secure-unit nonsense with Daisy wailing in background and Daniel doing his face.

Quite a lot of the acting involves doing a face.
I just can't stop watching.

I stopped watching it when it was Michelle screeching and gangster plots.
Got sucked back in with the Geoff storyline.
I fast forward through most of it now, I watch the Stephen bits in the hope he gets caught, I watch Roy unless Nina is in the scene, and the Platts except for Sarah.
It takes me about 15 minutes to watch an hour long episode 😁

I am really bored with the weird Daniel and Max relationship, the other young offender was spot on when he started making fun of Max about it. Although it is weird that a black kid has not said more about Max being inside for race hate crimes.

Even Ken has jumped on board with Max 'being a good kid really', a kid who who has been convicted of terrorist charges and had previous for breaking and entering, drugging people and upskirting.

I know kids that age can turn it around but he could start by cutting out the smug, snarly attitude.

Finally gave up watching it a few weeks ago after being a long time viewer.

Can't quite go cold turkey though as I keep reading this thread in the forlorn hope that it gets better.

I think Max is the worst character. Nina a close second. This would be so different had the makers chosen different actors. A case of new heads required! Not going to happen.

So it's not only the scrip writers who need a slap, it's the casting directors.

I disagree with the Max haters, he seems plausible to me. And his speech patterns - have you conversed with an adolescent boy recently? Laurence Olivier they ain't!

Yesterday I listened to The Archers omnibus, and the ending genuinely sent shivers down my spine, something that the (many) serial killers in Corrie haven't managed. The stalker coming in Daisy's back door (no euphemism intended) was scary, but with a side order of "why did the silly moo leave it unlocked?"

I used to like Nina but they have turned her into one of those characters who do nowt but stand behind a bar or counter making daft comments at customers expense. Her relationship with Asha is odd too, nobody would know they were anything but causal acquantainces.

I ind Nina extremely irritating.Her acting style feels very forced.
She was going to have a great design career, whatever happened to that?

Mia is a strange mix of Amy and summer.

Look out for Abi's forehead when she tries to raise her eyebrows.

She was Underworld's designer for about five minutes the other week

I think Mia looks very similar to Summer, albeit taller and darker, and she also speaks very like her and has similar mannerisms. I wonder is it deliberate.

I thought she spoke exactly the same as Summer.

Summer seems remarkably un phased by the loss of Aaron. She's very 'normal' these days. Can this last?

Something will happen to summer if she gets a job in the pound shop in the precinct.

I like her having scenes with Amy instead of the three dad crap or all those boring conversations she had with Aaron

I wish Aaron had just been nice but dull. Some people are. I have Ryan to worry about. I can't cope with Aaron and Amy and I wish people wouldn't call her ames.

I like how supportive she’s been of Amy.
Aaron was her boyfriend and many would not have believed Amy, especially with the backtracking, but she’s been supportive since Amy first told her
