So even though Sarah wants a baby with Adam, she is risking the marriage by having an affair with a midget gangster in a wig? By Corrie standards, most men being useless half wits, her husband is actually a pretty decent bloke and has been a good step father to the last kid she had by a complete scumbag.

The "Alina and her baby" idea has been mentioned so many times but how old would the baby be now? It seems years ago. Am not really buying that storyline and no idea if the actress is still acting so it would possibly be a new Alina. I doubt it's on the cards.

It might take weeks, months, years, but Baby Pop will surface one day!

The Sarah storyline is so dull now. You just know 8ts going to end up in a "guess the dad" storyline because of course noone in soapland uses condoms when they're having an affair.

I’m at that point as well, have watched for over 45 years too and I have genuine affection for the show which is why I have been hanging on, but I just can’t cope seeing it’s utter demise into the cheap and amateurish production it has become, it makes Crossroads look sophisticated. I watch classic and the contrast in quality is so stark, proper character driven storylines, everyday interactions, staff at the Rovers actually working and not just standing behind the bar like a spare part, proper long conversations, a busy and noisy pub, a bustling cabin and cafe, conversations over the breakfast table, I could go on and on. I’ve ditched Emmerdale for similar reasons, I don’t know how much longer my loyalty to Corrie will last.

I usually feel completely emotionless when watching the soaps, but oh man, my heart went out to Ryan last night (or whenever it was) 😢

We tend to have a go at the actors but they must be embarrassed when reading their scripts. Stuck in contracts and they have to grit their teeth to get those generous salaries.

I completely agree @LadyVictoriaSponge & whilst I haven't been watching as long as you, it must be over 35 years for me, with very fond memories of watching it with my mum when I was little! That's what keeps me going but feel like I'll ditch it soon myself sadly!
