The storyline about Amy’s blog is ridiculous. Apart from the fact that its entire readership would most likely consist of Summer, the twins and maybe Nina if it was quiet in Roy’s, surely someone would have said “Hang on Amy - you’ll be the one in trouble if you do this”? But no - everyone’s cheering her on and crying “But it’s truuuuuue!!!!” in a bewildered way at the mention of libel (despite the police not charging him).

Where is all of Linda’s wealth supposed to come from? Does she never send the permanently skint Izzy a few quid to make up for her years of absence? And why does she only look about three years older than her daughter?

Now I can’t sleep wondering if they’ll take the 2 suits back to the charity shop and ask for a refund.

Yes why is Linda so rich, and posh? She was married to Eoin, and Izzy is her daughter, both of them would be more bluff, working class Northerners than posh. Poor Joseph should have stayed in Portugal with her though, I really feel for him living with moany Chesney and the (invisible) quads, and having to daily witness Gemma eating and talking with that cement mixer gob of hers.

If I were Linda, I would feel compelled to cut Gemma's split ends off her bunches.

She gets richer because in between popping in and out of Corrie she’s another character in the Scottish soap River City. She’s been there intermittently for years. Her partner is a gangster in that one and not short of a few quid. I reckon she’s been syphoning off his cash and laundering it through Gemma and Chesney’s books 😱

Never heard any mention but I would guess that maybe Linda married someone rich after Owen. Her past is mysterious, similar to Elaine, not sure what she did for 40 years but they cannot get rid of her now.

Ah the old soap age enigma. Real life Audrey is only 7 years older than real life Gail. Sorry Audrey but you look about 20 years older so it does look believable.

Why doesn't Chesney have a suit, he was at Fizz's wedding recently wearing a very nice one, and presumably he had one for her wedding to Phil, was it last year? No reason for him to wear that abomination, which is frankly an insult to charity shops.

I believe Sue Nichols is about the same age as Audrey but Helen worth about a decade older than Gail.

Izzy is 37 but the woman who plays her is 48

The writers should check out this site to find ideas that don't involve serial killers and drugs gangs. The drama on wedding threads, 5 year olds birthday parties, shared holidays, people visiting babies etc. It would be better than the current drivel.

Totally agree that there is sufficient drama in everyday life - if the writer is good enough

They could do a lot worse, they always seem to base their stories on other TV shows that real life.

They had Summer, Amy and the two lads move into a flat and I am sure most writers are graduates who would have had their own experiences of shared flats. Why not use them? They could have mined lots of stories relevant to young people but went straight to Aaron rapes Amy and they all move out with just a comic interlude of Brian moving in.
