She was adopted by Billy's ex partner Drew and his latest partner, so she has had five adoptive dads and presumably a biological mum and dad too.

Soaps always think insurance companies are really, really stupid but this does not seem a great plan.

I wondered about the back story of summer. Still confused.

As far as a I gather

She was adopted as a baby by Drew Spellman and his partner. Billy was her godfather

The partner left so Drew raised her on his own until he died and left her to Billy in his will.

Billy was then with Todd but Todd left. Billy hot together with Paul then back with Todd and now with Paul again.

Summer and Nina were in my list. Not sure about Summer's birth mother, but she was being raised by an ex of Billy's. I'm not sure if he was her father. He then died (I can't remember of what, must have been cancer or something.) He knew his death was imminent so he got Billy to be her legal guardian.

Lots of plot potential for long-lost family in Summer’s storylines, tragically for us.

And don't forget the Grandparents (I think we're Drew's parents?) who tried to get Summer to live with them.

Yes poor Paul, it's a dreadful storyline. And poor Summer too, losing yet another 'parent'. Amazing really that Summer hasn't tried to find her birth parents, especially considering her health issues. I suppose it will happen at some point, and they will be inexplicably Steve already living on the street, criminals/famous/something shocking.

Nicky Campbell and Davina could do a coronation street special. Id watch that.

Cannot be much more absurd that Steve's daughter ending up in the same street as him and working in her mum's old salon.

I also suspect that poor old Paul will be dead sooner than later. He is involved with dodgy types and keeps nicking cars even though he is not fit to drive.

Johhny had MS then fell down the sewer. Seb had HiV then was jumped by goth bashers. There is definitely a pattern.

At least Billy Prayerhands will get to do the funeral, in one of Todd's coffins.
