That knicker factory could never complete a rush order, the sewing machines only have one speed.. dead stop. Instead of full on warp speed
.
What are the odds of three school kids having one thing in common… Murder, Hopes father was a murderer, Sans mum was murdered and Eliza mum and grandmother, in prison for murder.

MrsKHunt · 29/04/2023 09:42

I was laughing so much last night, it's got so ridiculous I'm viewing it as a comedy,
All the forgotten children, animals and characters it's bloody brilliant Hahahahahahah
Is someone writing this as a hobby instead of knitting?

AutumnCrow · 29/04/2023 10:10

I gave most of it a miss to watch Masterchef so I'm just catching up with your splendid comments.

It really is nuts about the amount of murder and prison surrounding Hope, Sam and Eliza's parents and families. So many of them are killers, or murdered, or know what the inside of a prison cell looks like. Even po-faced Nick.

So Amy's computer get split with coffee. I know, let's all look at it and mop it. But don't pick it up out of the pooling liquid- that world be too obvious Confused

Yes, and anonymously buying her a new one isn't really going to help if all her work is on the broken one!

I thought that. As though all her work would miraculously appear on the replacement!

AutumnCrow · 30/04/2023 13:23

It'll be saved to a cloud? Or she uses online Word? Well in RL she would, but in Corrie Land ...

FlibbertyGibbitt · 30/04/2023 17:40

I’m a bit confusled …. When Stefan killed Jenny’s boyfriend’s dad ( Teddy ?) and stuck him in the roof box of Audrey’s car, what happened to the body ? He brought the car back to her didn’t he ?

Can’t remember that at all !

thenightsky · 30/04/2023 18:00

Steven shoved the body into the car topbox then slid it into the canal. At first it floated, so he dropped a few pebbles onto it and it miraculously slid under.

bizzey · 30/04/2023 18:05

And still no one has noticed or found his luggage lying around !!

It is nuts that Sam lives in the flat that his mum was killed in.

No one seems to have noticed his disappearance. Where he lived for example, is it sitting empty

Ahh thanks, must have mentally switched off during that bit !

Spidey66 · 30/04/2023 21:41

I've said before about the children & young adults on Corrie. Only Amy and the quads have both parents alive. Joseph, Simon, Alfie, Summer, Aadi & Asha, Jack, Hawp, Ruby, Eliza, Sam, Liam, Nina...anyone I've forgotten?

If anyone has children or considering it....please don't move ro Coronation St. Its cursed.

Spidey66 · 30/04/2023 21:42

Oh and Bertie.

Spidey66 · 30/04/2023 21:42

Oh Max, Lily and Harry.

Spidey66 · 30/04/2023 21:44

There you go, at least 17 children and young people who've lost at least one parent. How likely is that?

Spidey66 · 30/04/2023 21:46

Actually I put Eliza's name there but I don't know if her dad is alive. Her mum is of course alive but incarcerated!

Clawdy · 01/05/2023 08:05

And Aaron!

zanahoria · 01/05/2023 09:32

Last year, Eliza was presumably just some normal kid. Since then she has found out her grandad was a murderer, only to discover he was not but her mum and nan were put in jail about a week later. So she went to live with grandad who she hardly knew and his wife who has also been in jail in a house where some bloke died by falling off the roof just a few years before. Her new best friend has had his mum killed and been kidnapped. His girlfriend's dad was a serial killer and she looks like she may have the genes.

All things considering she has adjusted quite well.

eggandonion · 01/05/2023 11:21

Well if you put it like that...😀

Helendegenerate · 01/05/2023 11:29

Yes @zanahoria that's it in a nutshell for little Eliza. Gawd knows what the writers have in store for the lass.
You can apply much of what you describe to most of the other characters too.😁
Pathetic but we keep watching! 😏

zanahoria · 01/05/2023 14:09

Spidey66 · 30/04/2023 21:42

Oh and Bertie.

At least Bertie has his mum on the laptop

zanahoria · 01/05/2023 14:18

I also worry about the Corrie girls chances of getting through their teens without being sexually assaulted and/or exploited. Bethany was prostituted and became a stripper, Summer was upskirted, Asha had her nude photos posted all over the internet, Amy raped, Faye molested by her boss.

Findyourneutralspace · 01/05/2023 18:28

Didn’t Summer end up with Billy when her mum died too?
