I think the writers have turned Paul into a very tedious character. I mean, all this stuff about paying for Gemma's dreary fairytale wedding and the looks of angst on his face over it all - oh give over.

This means the identical looks of angst on his face over having his diagnosis have limited impact. Well, possibly none tbh. Oh look, there's Paul doing his face. Oh here we go again, Paul's got his face on.

Yes he was promoted despite being found guilty of assault, becoming a heroin addict and continually breaking church guidance on sexual relations.

Paul does look deader every episode although hard to say who would come off worse in a showdown between him and Damon, they are both pretty pathetic at acting the hard man. They could have a fight like the one in Bridget Jones.

I also thought that Summer worked for Carla.
