I liked Marianne when she competed before, but this looks like something served in a 1980s health food café. Dry and earnest.

Yeah sawdust on a plate

jay55 · 21/03/2023 20:35

I love a pork pie crust, I'd be so miffed to see it was a vegan version on the menu. Wish she'd done the real thing for main instead.

EsmaCannonball · 21/03/2023 20:46

Oh, this is fun presentation. I am liking the T(h)oms.

Kareem's dish could also be inspired by Lord Percy's attempts at alchemy.

Pingu!

littlbrowndog · 21/03/2023 20:52

Och Marianne. Bowl of soup bit of fish at bottom

EsmaCannonball · 21/03/2023 20:55

I'm glad the standard this week is better but it does feel a bit unjust that only one person from this heat can go the final, especially when compared to last week.

The Shaddock Condiment sounds like some high-concept sci-fi installment. The Matrix Rising: The Shaddock Condiment.

Too restauranty? He served it in variety pack cereal boxes.

If it was really like Highlander they'd all be beheading each other and the last few heats would have been far more nail-biting.

Better than last week though for sure

A bit off topic but…

could they raise the score blackboards next year?

they look so awkward when they’re writing the number, especially the twisty eights, someone’s gong to injure their wrist soon….

PrimroseLane · 22/03/2023 11:29

Just watched it, yup better round, both Toms good. Agree re raise the blackboards.

Wolfcub · 22/03/2023 20:01

Evening all. I saw a bit of yesterday but with no sound. It looked like it was generally an improvement

Off topic? That is by far the most pertinent point anyone has ever made on here.

Evening.
I loved Brambly hedge and had totally forgotten it existed.

Pie and steak. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

BiliousOhGod · 22/03/2023 20:08

Well, I'm hopeful for main course hitting the brief (although this has to be the 3rd or 4th time we've had cow pie over the years?). Previews indicate that at least one dish today is going to be good....

Sunbird24 · 22/03/2023 20:08

I have a Brambly Hedge boxed set of about 7 little hardback books - the illustrations are beautiful

jay55 · 22/03/2023 20:08

There have been a lot of pies this series.

EsmaCannonball · 22/03/2023 20:08

What's usually more disastrous: pressure cooker or sous vide?

The boil in bag is dangerous
