New film dropped today and I’m watching it now.

Honestly watching behind fingers at some points and I feel physically sick to the stomach.

It’s about two girls being trapped at the top of an incredibly high tower so I guess the warning here will be, if you have a major fear of heights…be warned.

I didn’t…but yeah I’m not so keen on going up anything any time soon

The "I didn't catch the bag threw me" she did jump onto the bag but then fell?

The "I didn't catch the bag threw me" she did jump onto the bag but then fell?

Spoilers!

It was after she was climbing up from the bag. So she did manage to jump onto the bag and started to haul herself up the rope. But it's when she fell after that she didn't manage to catch the bag on her way down and landed on the dish.

I thought the tension was very well done. I almost guessed the twist because I realised that Hunter hadn't touched anything since she supposedly hurt her hands and thought she would at least be interacting with the back of her hands or something. And I thought that surely Hunter would have noticed the truck approaching as she wasn't looking through the drone screen. But I didn't guess it.

I did think the casual manner on that platform was a bit ridiculous. They had rope and carabiner clips so could have tied themselves to each other/ the pole must of the time, including at night so they could sleep without worrying about falling off.

And the bit where Becky originally fell off the ladder and Hunter somehow managed not to get pulled off the platform and grabbed the pole right at the last second and enough so that her hands weren't wrenched off by the sudden arrival of Becky's bodyweight on the rope!

I did enjoy it, though. Far more than the scuba diving one.

Also - it has virtually the exact same plot as the movie 47 meters down, all the way down to the plot twist. Very similar movies and story ideas.

It does in a manner of fact. Just one in the air and one underwater.

The one in the air made me feel sick. The one underwater didn’t

My husband says he had to stop watching it, but only because they had loads of inaccuracies about climbing techniques which were annoying him too much! 😂

UpUpUpU · 07/03/2023 18:28

I watched it today. It gave me massive anxiety!
I wanted to know how she got down in the end though 😏

Soubriquet · 07/03/2023 18:41

Considering there was a helicopter in the background, I would assume someone winched down, and fetched her up

Why didn't they need to go to the loo?

Soubriquet · 07/03/2023 20:37

They did…..it clearly shows one being supported by the other as she squats over the side to have a wee

Oh! I missed that!!!

louise5754 · 07/03/2023 22:56

This is a good lesson to teach your teens. Just because your friend wants to climb up a rusty old 2,000 foot tower and hang off the top you don't have too. Also don't sleep with their bfs 😂

Spectre8 · 07/03/2023 23:12

I didnt get any vertigo or sickness watching it. I missed the twist about her being already dead then again I hadn't see the other movie so wouldnt of realised.

I agree with others about not tying themselves up at night its too ridiculous 🙄 they still could of had the whole almost falling off moment but tied up to make it more real without losing anything

Then I was like why didn't they out the phone on the drone and fly it down for a signal...it was the most obvious thing to do and that way the phone wouldn't of got smashed.

And yes then came the climbing stupidity like a one shoulder bag....seriously come on!

User478 · 07/03/2023 23:23

Why didn't they climb down the tower the same way Mulan climbed up the pole?

Had wobbly legs just watching it.

Chimna · 07/03/2023 23:29

I felt the ending was rushed. I would have liked to see her spot the rescue team and show her being rescued rather then just tadaa here she is.

DoneAdulting · 07/03/2023 23:42

I watched this film on a plane last month!

The ending was SO annoying, in that she just walks off with her dad. Surely that wound on her leg would have gone septic, she was massively sleep deprived, hadn't eaten or drank in days, and probably would have been very sick from eating the bloody bird. She would be in ICU!

I was so annoyed they hadn't told anyone what they were doing/where they were going. I believe the men who stole the car would have anonymously alerted someone they were up there.

Very entertaining though.

Oh yes didn't think about sending the drone down for a signal.

I mean we are all watching and talking about it but it could have been so much better!!

Surely Hunter would have been posting about this days before though? They were filming in the car on the way down too.

I thought thy needed the phone to control the drone.

Dudum · 08/03/2023 08:52

"They were filming in the car on the way down too."

To post it later, the videos were never posted.

They did. The drone was completely phone controlled and all the videos they recorded were saved to be posted later. Hunter clearly said she wasn’t live streaming, she was filming now and posting later

Yes, so they couldn't send the Hunter's phone down on the drone to catch a better signal.
But maybe they could have sent Becky's.

Wellillsayitifnoonelsewill · 08/03/2023 10:15

Quite watchable although if you want your films to be incredibly realistic you will hate it 😂

We also watched “we have a ghost” this weekend and that was really funny and sweet too

PamperedEnLaPampa · 08/03/2023 10:28

I had to keep FF the really scary bits. Did one of them sleep with the others boyfriend?

louise5754 · 08/03/2023 11:33

They used the phone as the screen attached to the drone and had a separate remote.

When I meant posted I meant days / weeks before.

louise5754 · 08/03/2023 11:39

I thought anyway chat see any pics.

The drone was in the bag so by the time they got that they had already thrown one of the phones down in the shoe
