I think because she was in danger of Lexi's questioning about her Great-Grandmother leading either to unconvincing lies or to actual real emotional distress.

Depending on whether we believe her backstory about dying in lockdown etc. etc.

It seemed to me that she'd created a fantasy version of her childhood Mum, so perhaps the real version was far from that? "All the men loved her..."

Didn't she also ask Honey recently to teach her how to be a Mum? Which would imply she didn't have the best role model herself, growing up.

Yes, that's what I meant! Maybe her Mum was a bit free with the favours. And a rapid turnover of new men passing through their lives could have had all sorts of consequences. I'd like to find out more about Emma's early life, but I doubt we will now.

Nana Kath's quilt was touching. Good that the SWs finally remembered she exists!

I like to think of her and Lexi cosied up together. A bit of reassurance in her changing world.

We are aware that Stacey took out a recent loan to pay for and replace the burger bar fridge and the things that were stolen. It wasn't made clear how she obtained this money , but my guess is she may have used a 'loan shark 'rather than a bank due to their constant money woes.
Jean has the money that Kat gave her back, so I suppose this Shiv will want the repayments and more and Jean will use the money Martin has put aside for Lily. If that makes sense and it's just a guess , although I do doubt that Stacey used a bank as that is too sensible plus she probs would not have been successful anyway ;(
She already has loans to start the business too I think.

.. Plus Nasty nish put the rent up on the slater house last year too ( after the business with the boiler and carbon monoxide story ) although I can't remember if Suki stopped this raise or not now.
I'm hoping that Whitney doesn't kidnap Lily's baby in the summer in order to hang around the allotment and the peach tree.. I want her to move on a bit , although she's bound to discover Zac's health secret soon I suppose and this will be even more bad news for her to absorb

I do tend to try and concentrate on EE and resist looking at my phone during an episode , although I also get a lot wrong too ! The bit where Stacey mentioned this loan to Eve was very brief a few weeks back.
Considering she's the local dodgy lawyer , I think she Shd have told her wife to avoid sharks at all costs ( I can lay money on this text being about money from a 'loan shark 'person )

I had a possible lightbulb moment about "Shiv" and cufflink man. I have to stress that isn't anything I have read or seen suggested anywhere. Not a spoiler, simply speculation.

Reiss isn't anything to do with the ' six' is he? Sonia isn't one of the chosen ones!

Stacey might not have met Reiss , his hardly been around much and she isn't that friendly with Sonia. So she wouldn't necessarily know he lives on until with her yet. He was elsewhere for a while too
