Oh that reminds me of the convoluted turf wars when Aiden Maguire (Patrick Bergin) , Phils ex cellmate in prison (very tall, with a silver topped walking stick) rolled up.
There was Ciara Maguire ( I thought she was his sister but checking on Wiki says its his ex-wife) was the sister of Ray Kelly who was married to Mel Owen

I zoned out at these storylines but I do recall there was a robbery and Ben gave Kathy the most hideous necklace that she wore 24/7 thinking it was costume but was in facr hundreds of thousands of £ worth

And Ciara didn't walk into the Cafe and scream What are you doing wearing my necklace and fly across the counter to kill Kathy .

TLDR: feistry female gansters , Ciara and Mel .

Emma reminds me of a mean gagster type ( a more upmarket Cora )
It's the leather gloves and the way she treated that little girl who was bullying Lexi that time
Definitely one to watch there

Max being an under cover spy for that mr big character and Lauren Branning getting that high powered job in the city and Seeing Josh , I think that was his name ( the one who had Joe 90 glasses )

I didn't mind Cora as she was a bit more upfront and you knew what she was about. Emma is an enigma as she can't move her face around much so not sure if she is genuine or not ( she probably isn't and the way she spoke to the little girl at lexi's school ! )
Would be good to have a link there to Mel or someone. Would be a twist

Wow, you're very good at filling in backstories. I've had a few periods of not watching it for ages, so all that was unknown to me.

I do remember Aiden and his walking stick ; the heist was a bit rubbish and it did get a bogged down with double crossing and some-new characters, but made for an interesting thread !
Phil was involved a lot as he was in prison with him years ago. He saw off the baddies , eventually !

Some of it descended into farce didn't it - I remember Billy digging up a coffin to retrieve the jewellery and losing his job at the undertakers.

Oh yes, Billy and the grave scenes!
It did seem to involve everyone didn't it

Just caught up on this week, Emma Is a wrongun although Honey has her sussed out, there is definitely going to be some toing and froing with Lexie one lola dies.

I Know we are supposed to be feeling it for Zack but he is so wooden I just can't summon up the energy to feel sorry for him!

But manipulative Emma will probably have caused all sorts of emotional mind games by the time Lola dies.

I can imagine a scenario where everybody is being strong and supportive for Lola, putting on a united front, yet simmering resentments provoked by E. come to the boil when they're all reeling from her death.

Kathy is Lexi's Nan too, she can be quite hard when she wants. I reckon she will suss Emma and "sort her out"

Considering that Phil and Kathy are Lexi's grandparents, you tend to forget this as neither have much to do with her really
Kathy has hardly acknowledged Lola's diagnosis or how it's affecting Lexi.
Phil wanted custody of her as a baby , but it is always more about family than him than actually being a good role model or doing much for them atm

By coincidence there's a big article about Fred in today's paper. He used to be a Dolce n Gabbana model.

I can imagine that the camera loves Bobby Brazier as he has such distinctive features.
