My guess is that she'll lose the baby. They're portraying it in too much of a happy clappy way, which normally indicates impending doom.

Hmmm I think Ryan has his eye on the baby.
If Stacey can't feed her kids now,how will they manage to cope with a new baby in the house.

Was Ranveer ever found??

Bunionbabe · 14/04/2023 13:27

There is no way on earth that portraying 12 year olds as happy expectant parents is a good message to be putting out. It will adversely affect the lives of everyone involved for ever.

I hope Sam comes back one day
She has grown on me and her friendship with Zac was nice.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/04/2023 15:38

Having his first legal drink with a 5yr

Sam is apparently going to ring every day

Stacey diversifying to put her best baps in walford online as if there aren’t 4 other working adults sharing the house with her?

Noted Freddie said his chippy earnings don’t cover his rent which is why he does the feet pics so he must be doing very few hours there.

The washing your hair comment from Honey 😂 😂 💀

the80sweregreat · 14/04/2023 15:44

There was a case in the papers of a boy who fathered a baby aged 11 or 12 many years ago now. The girl was a bit older ( 15 or something?)
I often wonder how they are getting on
I feel it's sad , but the Slaters rarely play by the rules and Ricky is just naive. As you would be at that age , of course.
Babies are hard work.
Stacey doing the fake ' only fans' is cringe.
Why she doesn't give Harvey or Alfie the bills ?
Freddie had money to go out 'on a bender ' the other week!

12yo Alfie Patten and 14yo Chantelle Steadman
He was found not to be the father , it was a 14yo friend

The photos of Alfie holding the baby , he looked so young , way younger than 12. It was like a big brother holding his baby sibling .

Very sad case all round , Alfie being in the news , his parents torn apart by the Press , probably huge relief all round to find he wasn't the dad . The mother of the baby had her morals shredded in print . And the nnocent baby in the middle of it all .The biological dad was 14yo .
Not a happy ever after like Lil'n'Ricky are being swept along into ( but doubtful this will actually be the ending)

That boy wasn't the father it was an older boy the same age as the girl. The little boy really believed he was the dad .I read an article about him he was in and out of young offenders.

Mrsjayy · 14/04/2023 17:56

Sorry @70isaLimitNotaTarget I didn't notice your reply.

Ceryneianhind · 14/04/2023 18:01

I had hoped they would have gone through an abortion storyline, it would have been much better

I hope they will end it 'poorly'

the80sweregreat · 14/04/2023 19:15

I Didn't know that about the young boy not being the dad in the end.

You might be thinking of the one in the late 90s. I had to Google as my memory was foggy. Sean Stewart was only 11(!) when he got his 15 year old neighbour pregnant.

God that's even more worrying than Alfie Patten.

11yo . Barely into Secondary Sad

Bunionbabe · 15/04/2023 08:36

I think there would be a bit of media interest in a pair of 12 year old parents. Sell their story to a red top for cash, no worse than what Stacey's up to. Agree there would be ongoing involvement with SS, are the authorities confident that Ricky is the father? In theory it could be any of the men in the Slaters' orbit.

the80sweregreat · 15/04/2023 10:27

I'm definitely not Social services bashing here, but there have been too many very sad cases in the news in real life this past year or so to convince me that they would have taken Lily's word for it that Ricky is the dad and she is safe in that house. Maybe they will have an input once the baby is born? A few random checks ?
I admit I've no idea about these particular matters, but they did rather run the social services away and there hasn't been any mention of them since.
The one who played Roxy , Rita Simons, was on tele this morning. I only caught a a bit , but she hasn't aged a day.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/04/2023 15:50

Yes if we are going to show a 12hr getting preg they need to show ss involved

I liked Sam too. It's a bit annoying with EE at the moment - just bringing random celebs in to play a part for 5 minutes, or bringing old characters back, not giving them any decent storylines and them going not long after they've been back. It's a bit pointless. The Taylors don't get many decent storylines now either. It's all Slaters, Panesars, Mitchells and Foxes and loads of randoms who don't really have big storylines who will probably only be around a short time too (we'll you would probably get peed of as an actor with the role not giving you much opportunity to do proper acting). I think we need a few more families with good storylines. I'm finding this format of it all being about the well established families a bit dull.

the80sweregreat · 16/04/2023 22:49

It might be a bit stale lately because of this flash forwards idea? Everything has to tie up at Christmas.
I'm even zoning out during episodes lately, especially involving Jack as I can't bear the character at all. I was hoping Ravi was undercover , but that seems unlikely
Plus what is happening with Linda and the Pub ?

BusterGroove · 17/04/2023 11:35

I think one of the problems is that they have too many families/characters so they can’t all be in storylines all the time. We have months of not seeing someone (I wasn’t sure if Sonia had left a few months ago!) and then they have to have a major storyline to make sure the actors are doing their hours.

Mrsjayy · 17/04/2023 11:42

I wonder how their contracts work I mean do they have a salary then get a bonus for screentime/overtime. ? I imagine the likes of Steve Mcfadden have better deals than some.

bizzey · 17/04/2023 13:27

I was thinking the same with Billy.
I know he is in Portugal? doing something for Phil but I presumed the actor wanted extended leave for something and that was how they wrote him out for a while.

But what if he didn't need to be away for personal reasons ..

Does he just not get paid ?

bizzey · 17/04/2023 13:28

I presume Martin's Turkey trip was something to do with strictly.
Kat's breaks are usually something to do with a suspension due to drink and/or behaviour 🤔🤔

the80sweregreat · 17/04/2023 14:06

We haven't seen much of Lola or Jay recently
I suppose this might change a lot in the summer time as her six months will be up by then :(
Harvey hasn't had a storyline in months ; him and Alfie are hangers on atm
