So the first ever has happened - a flash forward of someone dead wearing cufflinks

we don’t see a hand. I believe that’s coz it is nish or Ravi so be obvious who is dead

we have MONTHS of pondering

meanwhile

will lily have her baby - hope not as she’s 12

whitney - give her some happiness and luck and make baby be the lower end of disability

muck is still awol and Janine trying to sell her share to someone

linda has someone in mind who she will happily work with so rules out ian and max

Denise will she sleep with ravi

Ravi what is he doing that the police are watching

who will shazza marry

will she be silly enough to go back to keanu

kathy - will she find out fiance is still married

No hints at what is going to happen please if you are on the spoiler thread

Nish sooooo knows about Suki and eve - wonder if he tracks her texts

Yes Stacey stole money. Silly girl

Wish she would stop bleeding on about 3 kids and a grandchild on the way

That baby is not going to cost much for the first year or so

Would a 12yr get child benefit - is their an age minimum

And this made me laugh as I have subtitles on

I doubt a 12 year old could claim child benefit but I’m sure Stacey would be able to claim it as a guardian

lazymum99 · 11/03/2023 12:01

The child benefit issue is quite interesting. You have to be the person supporting the child financially in order to claim. A 12 year old can’t be doing that. I wonder if they will tackle the subject of benefits for Lilly’s baby.

Mrsjayy · 11/03/2023 12:04

I imagine stacey will be legal guardian till Lilly is 16 at least so the baby would be a dependent of Stacey's.

It all feels very unsatisfying at the moment with too many storylines bubbling away under the surface: Zach revealing his HIV status, awaiting Lily's baby, waiting for Jack to discover Ravi and Denise's secret, waiting for Lola to die and of course who dies at Christmas. I kind of wish they would have fewer storylines but do them better. Like others on here, I thought the handling of Whitneys baby storyline was bordering on ghoulish and I can only think that anyone unlucky enough to face that situation would only be more upset and terrified after watching that. Also, to have her sat on the bench in the square cradling the blanket on the day she left hospital - so ill judged and unrealistic - it has left a bitter taste in my mouth. Eastenders has a good record for public service announcement type stuff on big issues but I think they almost sensationalised it this time.

I disagree about Whitney sitting on the bench with the blanket. I wanted to have something with me all the time after I lost my DD. There are so many personal aspects to a subject like this and different people feel differently about things so they are never going to please everyone. I feel they have done this storyline well. I had a stillbirth so not exactly the same situation but I recognised many of the feelings talked about. I also got a box like the one they were given.

I've just had to search through about 10 old threads to find the new link posts to get here Grin

Nish must know about Eve and Suki. Neither of them can lie to save their lives. Eve really makes me cringe.

the80sweregreat · 11/03/2023 19:25

Welcome goodchat!!
I'm glad you found us all
I agree that Eve n Suki are bad liars. I feel that Nish knows something is up.

Why so hard

I always do a link on last page of old thread. Around the 950 mark

Or

Easier to go to telly addicts section and look at all threads and just look for the ee thread. It's usually on page 1 or 2 as it's on 4 times a week

But welcome :)

I'm so sorry for your personal experience. I dont disagree with anything you've said - I think the blanket and the box are realistic to the story but it was the scene where she was sat alone on a bench with the blanket that I thought seemed off - not because I don't think Whitney wouldn't be devastated, but more because out of respect to those watching that have had this experience that I think they stepped too close to being mawkish. If she had been at home doing the same thing I would have found that more credible, so its a trifling detail really. Overall I think the actors involved have done a good job.

GoodChat · 12/03/2023 13:54

@Blondeshavemorefun I did that re: the search but I'm on the app so the search function isn't the best.

I was scrolling through for your links and some threads were fine but people had tried to fill up others after the link Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/03/2023 14:18

Perhaps if someone other than Blondes is trying to fill up an old thread, they could post the link as the last post?
Blondes always puts a link but I agree it sometimes gets lost if it ends up on the page before last etc

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/03/2023 09:32

If you have the op (Ie me) posts highlighted then should be easy enough to find the link

Either scroll till see diff Colour

Or on app click on top and go to op posts

I hope Stacey manages to avoid prison after tonight's shambles. Maybe she could say she was locking the petty cash box up as she had noticed it was open, rather than putting the money back?

Then it would be Alan's word against hers. Unless there is CCTV footage which shows her taking the money the night before of course!

Plus she could say the 'assault' was in self-defence (which it actually was) as Alan wanted to kiss her.

All in all, not a good situation for the Slaters right now.

Although I was pleased to see Denise stand up to Ravi. She thoroughly put him back in his place I thought! His face 👏

the80sweregreat · 13/03/2023 20:27

Big gamble there for Mrs magnificent Denise fox Branning .
Ravi's vaping definitely increased as we saw his brain whirring ' what can I to do ? ' !
He should have a mustache to twirl around his so devious
Callum is family then !! Ha ha . As I tried to work out how , I gave up. He probably is , but my poor tired brain couldn't make the family connections. He looks good in a suit though

RedToothBrush · 13/03/2023 21:26

Maybe Callum is the dead idiot. After investigating all these crimes and pissing off everyone.

I just think Christmas will be a massive anticlimax in some way after harping on about it for 10months.

It does feel like there's a lot going on in EE ATM but nothing actually happening at the same time. There's little viewer 'resolution' or 'satistifaction' going on.

the80sweregreat · 13/03/2023 21:45

I wonder if Stacey will end up back in prison ?
Jean served certain of it tonight. It Won't be for long though as she is one of the six.
Maybe Ravi will be discovered on Freddie's 'feet fetish ' sight and Jack will have to investigate this too! Oh, he likes red nail varnish , who knew ?
Lexi is ringing zombie Nan , that won't go well
Kim was funny though , she makes me lol

AutumnalLeaves38 · 14/03/2023 12:08

Callum is family then !! Ha ha . As I tried to work out how , I gave up. He probably is , but my poor tired brain couldn't make the family connections.

I think it's only due to being Ben's husband, therefore Phil's son-in-law, therefore sort-of-ish Kat's son-in-law figure as she and Phil are together?
Tenuous to say the least!

the80sweregreat · 14/03/2023 12:51

Kat would call anyone family in order to get them off something I'm sure!
They all hate the fact that Callum and Jack are ' old Bill ' I suppose. Phil and Jack have history.
I'll have to try and see if Callum wears cuff links.
He is busy getting involved with all sorts

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/03/2023 13:43

Sure they knew the money had been stolen - who leaves a cash box unlocked like that

Pervy Alan. Will they beleive Stace

They all work but cant ever afford stuff

Ravi didn't like being put in his place by Denise

Maybe jack is dead and was Ravi - he was seen say stabbing him hence why Denise looks shocked and as does suki

God, people in Eastenders don't use the brains they were born with.
Stacey needs a fridge freezer. Hasn't anyone there heard of Gumtree or Facebook Marketplace.
Confused
Stacey are her mother are just awful. "Martin can just make more money". Chavs.
Freddie's money-making schemes are becoming boring. Can't they give him a proper storyline or is his acting not up to it? And where the fuck are they all sleeping?! Grin

JMSA · 14/03/2023 18:15

I thought Denise was fab at putting Ravi in his place though!

JMSA · 14/03/2023 18:16

Lola's resistance at counselling for Lexi makes absolutely no sense Hmm

the80sweregreat · 14/03/2023 18:23

Lola is being unreasonable, but I can see why she is kicking against it as she feels a failure as a mum I suppose ( plus guilt that she is dying and the reason Lexi might need this intervention)
Maybe it's her way of trying to blank out the realities of what is happening to her ? Although this being EE, it's just a story to get the Nan back.

the80sweregreat · 14/03/2023 18:30

The writers rarely come up with proper solutions to money woes or ways round it ( maybe looking in a charity shop for bigger blouses for Lily or second hand freezers as mentioned below)
Instead they go to the drastic measures very quickly ! Martin will make some money, but it's clear they all need a big spreadsheet and a proper budget. Harvey losing hours as a cabbie is rough , but he is fit enough to do something else or look for another Job away from the square ( I know it's a big ask, lol )
Living That close to london he could find something I'm sure.
