Any fans of BBCs this country tv show?

Just wanted to start a thread about 'this country' as I honestly find it so hilarious and some episodes make me cry laugh every time!! Kerry and Curtan I love you!! I hardly know anyone else that watches it but IMO it's a gem of British comedy. Not to everyone's taste I understand but definately my sense of humour.

Favourite episodes anyone ?

Mine is probably the one where they are waiting for the vicar at the train station and they get into an arguement and curtan throws Kerry's shoe onto the train just as the doors close 😂😂

Oh I love it! I think my fave one is Kerry pretending she’s smashed her leg ‘to smithereens’ and Kurtan being furious because the vicar now has to sit with Kerry in A&E instead of driving him to T.K Maxx! Hilarious.

We've watched it so many times. It's just perfect. It's hard to pick a favourite one, but probably Kurtan labouring - the wheelbarrow 🤣

Another Mandy fan here. You think that's bad; my whole-brother died once!

I just went to re-watch it, and when I opened the episode on iplayer it was cued up to that scene from the last time we re-watched it.

Why's there no holes in my crumpets 🤣🤣I love this show found it in the first lockdown and have rewatched so many times ...
Double dinners is one of my faves , mucklowe airlines , the driving lesson when Kurtan changed the cars direction and the vicar didn't even notice 🤣🤣

So he thought if he walked as far as he could out of the village he’d just hit a wall.”

I loved it when kerrys mum and dad got back together and she said they were rolling round in bed like two greased buffalos! 😂 Never tire of watching it, such a great show.

Brilliantly understated though I do think it helps if you've either lived rurally or in the south west (I grew up at the other end of the country in a very urban location and when I moved south and west it took me a while to get the humour).

I like to spot the garage as I go down the fosse way. I always expect to see some recognition it was used on the show. Best sort of comedy, poignant and pulls at your heart strings. Poor Kerry with her useless, horrible dad.

Just love it! I make DD crack up with my Kezza's Mum impression.
The plumming episode, the scarecrow festival & the one where Kurtan gets a job running the bowls club bar are my faves.

If you like This Country then you'll probably like 'Man Like Mobeen' too

Kurtan and his nuggets of observation and wisdom then being a complete Wally about something else. Genius. The happy hardcore music he was trying to get the Vicar to like. Just brilliant.

Just went and googled and looks like Daisy May has said there may now be a fourth series, this was in September last year. So that could be interesting as they'll have to move the characters on a chunk (life wise) I think.....fingers crossed it happens.
