I couldn't bring myself to eat fake meat products or fake cheese. The thought just makes me want to throw up. There's an as for Burger King plant based burger and the fake bacon is revolting 😂

i mean vegan is simply a "meal of choice" so theoretically they could eat anything but just don't want to.

I am happy to eat vegetarian food in restaurants etc but don't mess with my cheese 😂

As an aside, are there any vegetarians or vegans on Albert Square? Did Bobby go veggie or vegan? 🤔 They seem to have disproportionately large numbers of other.... um... "minorities" isn't the right word... different lifestyles?

@70isaLimitNotaTarget I have to follow a strict low fodmap diet as even though it is meant to be a 2 month elimination I have triggers in every group.

So not legumes, low or no gluten, most fruit is out, no garlic, no onion, (even powders) no sweet potatoes, a lot of vegetables are no go or very carefully portioned and not mixed with other vegetables, no soya, most mushrooms are no go.

I actually used to be vegan donkeys years ago, and am certainly not anti vegan food but would definitely struggle to eat in a vegan restaurant. Granted it's hard everywhere but it's definitely more possible when you can have meat or fish as the main component of your meal.

Yes , I;ve done the Low FODMAP in the past and I;m a vegetarian most of my life and no gallbladder so I know how difficult it is looking at the diet sheet thinking What can I actually eat

But in regards Eastenders and the lack of Vegan resturants (and an obvious gap in the market ) its a meal that most people could eat as a one off . Maybe not your first choice if you prefer a steakhouse .
But I cannot think of any religion that would exclude Vegan food (and I did say people might struggle with Coeliac disease )

I know Vegan/Vegetarian is a choice for many people but with promotions like Veganuary more people are trying new foods .

I know when I looked at my Low FODMAP diet sheet it was a lot of meat/chicken/fish , high fats (which I don;t eat ) and eggs (which I don't like )

I did find out dairy and white bread were my nemesis though .
I managed to introduce slowly some foods as I was worried the reaction would be intense , certainly onions are bad (but I;m not a fan anyway)

Oh @70isaLimitNotaTarget that's so rough. I was vegetarian before low fodmap but I couldn't keep it up as was breastfeeding during elimination. I was always very squeamish about meat fish and eggs though so it was quite a journey.

Nugget really is a little weasel, but it's hardly surprising given the role models he's grown up with, being pampered pet of that rapey businessman whose name escapes me.

Did anyone notice in last night's episode that the Minute Mart has moved? From inside the shop looking out through the door you used to be able to see a market stall up near the cafe end of the street. Last night you could see a brick wall as if it was under the Tube bridge!
I'm pretty sure it used to go Queen Vic, Minute Mart, Laundrette, bridge. But with this view of the bridge outside it must've moved further down the street on the new set.

if the stall aren't there, you'd see the brick wall of the Beale House from the counter area or a similar camera angle. Maybe that was it?

Having looked on iPlayer, I think it is the Beale house. As it's a night/evening shot (ie it's dark!) the stalls have been packed away I think.
