I couldn't believe the anti-climax around the arrest of that councillor who's been bankrolling Griff's gang. Stabbings, bombs, people jailed, and all we get for the big arrest is a burst of sirens and a smirk from Spider.

Is Gemma not in a council house as is with child benefit for something like 1700 kids at this point? Chesney is working all the hours, Gemma has a job herself. How are they so broke? Im more enthralled by how so many humans can be sleeping under one roof.

God this preachiness is unwatchable! The writers are so wrapped up in hammering home their message and painting the racist gang as the most evil monsters in the world that they’ve lost sight of the fact that Gary and Toyah have both got away with murder and Maria and Spider have let them get away with said murders. Obviously the racist gang are total scum but as usual with storylines like this they’re completely unrealistic, and I still think Gary and Toyah are worse. And Alya just needs to go.

Where is Craigy? As 'the only policeman in Weatherfield' he should have been talking to Daisy at the same time as arresting the councillor. Instead they seem to have the budget for new officers.
In Classic Corrie Toyah and Maria are good friends and flat sharing - now they don't talk to each other (same with Gail & Sally). I can't remember what happened between them or have the scriptwriters not checked the archives?

They'd get x5 lots of child benefit, x5 UC child element, UC for themselves, housing benefit if paying rent, potentially DLA and the child disability element of UC, the costs of living payments, potentially a payment from the council's household support fund, and access to the Family Fund and other sources of grants and awards.

I’m thinking…. It belongs to rufus who Peter chases down. Rufus tells Peter the whole sorry tale about the hotel with Stephan and that Stephen had stolen his drugs…. Peter puts two and two together (eventually) and realises that Stephan is drugging Carla , calls the police ( our Craigy) and story over ….
