Oh dear! Life is tough enough at the moment we didn’t need the much looked forward to Motherland episode to be so harsh!! The writers got that so wrong on a number of counts tonight! 😔

Been looking forward to this for so long! What a disappointment... mind you, I did get a scooter wrapped whilst watching so not a total waste of time.

Bit disappointing, I thought Marion would wake up and it would all be funny. Agree with pp, we needed something funny and warm like last years.

Amanda’s mother is so deeply unkind to her that it’s hard to watch rather than funny.

So glad they wrote Amanda so nicely in this episode, and Julia a bit more cheerful (obviously excepting the obvious sadness! She just seemed happier around her friends and less frantic).

Well that was a bit of an anticlimax

Life isn't what you expect. I bloody loved it as sad and heart wrenching as it was. This is life.

The end was so abrupt.

I’m disappointed too! Didn’t find any of it funny, and it’s usually my favourite show. Agree with the pp who said Amanda’s mum is so horrible to her that it’s hard to watch.
