WTF! I thought Gio only dated Love Islanders.

I was absolutely certain she was not dating Hamza though. They are all just good actors.

I thought Hamza was very OTT about Jowita tho, calling her my love and darling and meeting his family.
Just too sweet for someone that had zero interest in her romantically.

The names he was calling her, not that she met his family that's all for tv of course. Imo he gushed too much. Got him the win so there's that.

I voted for him because I liked him and liked watching him learn to dance. I didn't care whether he and Jowita were in a relationship or not. Doubt many others cares either.

I don't recall him called her "my darling". He did call her "love" and was affectionate but maybe that is just the way he is.

Lots of people, especially Northerners, call everyone "love", "duck", "sweetheart". Doesn't mean they are hoping for some sort of relationship

I had dismissed a showmance between her and Hamza as a couple of months ago, as Michael + Jowita still had their studio/website ties on fb.
I had seen on insta all Michael's posts were about DWTS Poland, but just thought they were a private couple/didn't want headlines/she had asked him not to publicly comment.
Last week, on Dig Spy someone said they had separated quite some time ago.
He is on DWTS Ireland in a few weeks time.
It is a real shame that they have split. They seemed so happy together in the past. Can't help but think it might not have happened had they signed up Michael too.

There was some phone footage released from the very end of the final show with everyone on the floor still chatting and hugging, and an eagle-eyed Twitterer noticed that J&G were embracing in a way which looked closer than colleagues, even touchy-feels dance colleagues.

Yes, I saw! Good luck to 'em. Fair play for it not being leaked/published before the final, if they were seen that often. Interesting one. Both her and Michael have kept quiet about their separation, which is hard to do these days.
Press could have spotted the lack of insta posts/following each other on social media but didn't go with the Strictly Curse bullshittery. They could also have had a field day with shipping Hamza with her but, like Jowita, he is very private. There has been next to nothing to uncover about past relationships, which is refreshing these days.
Had the press known about her and Gio, surely it would have made the tabloids.
So, from a sleb twaddle point of view, it is fascinating all round that it was successfully kept under wraps, that Michael and Jowita themselves managed to keep the focus entirely on their work. Impressed.

I’m thinking that, if Jowita has just come out of a long serious relationship, she may be looking for something more like a fling? In which case, Giovanni seems perfect. I could be wrong, but I doubt he’s looking to settle down just yet.

Good point Jemima. If I were a twenty eight year old who'd just come out of a long term relationship and simultaneously reached a whole new level of professional opportunities then a quick fling with a handsome colleague not known for the length of his romantic commitments would be just the ticket.

Does anyone watch US DWTS? Saw that Shirley's son Mark won it, and she shared a video of clips of his dances, and his celebrity looked like a pro. Turns out she was a competitive dancer for 10 years! Do they have any duffers on that show??

It's being reported on social media that Gorka has quit the show. If it's true that may be why all the pros were backing him before the final as they knew he was leaving.

I do hope so as I love Gorka. All the tabloids are reporting it. Not that it makes it true! But I'm guessing they want to carry on the story of the final in some way.

Me! Yes, they have duffers and yes, they have slebs who make finals on popularity more than talent. They also have ringers who don't win.
Examples: Their Chris Hollins = Bobby Bones (won with Shana)
Popular finalist = baseball catcher David Ross
Ringer that did not win = Jojo Siwa
Sleb Shock boot = Heather Morris

Charlie D'Amelio was an absolute ringer but they do not always win and she was outsatnding, plus there is a lot of love for Mark (he had been out of DWTS for a while and has been robbed several times!)

Mark Ballas is a phenomenal dancer who always gets the best out of his partners no matter their ability, so I'm pleased he won!

I've not seen that @dollybird although did read her social media post on his anniversary. So sad.

With Mark's dad being Corky Ballas, he's definitely from strong dancing stock! I always loved watching him and Derek & Julianne Hough on DWTS when I lived in the US. Different calibre to all other pros IMHO!

Shirley taught Corky Ballas to dance, according to that program!
