Sorry that was to @Suffrajitsu

Love the name ☺️

Trees6 · 02/12/2022 22:05

It was a good show, Goosey. Everyone was entertaining.

She really doesn't need another man like that.

She certainly doesn't.

I'd hope that after her own experience she wouldn't touch anyone else's husband/ partner, but she's probably very vulnerable

I've just treated myself to watching Faye and Gio's charleston, followed by their theatre Jazz dance. Goodness, she was good. I know she was a bit of a ringah, but she put so much into it and she wuz robbed in the finals.

I really enjoyed Helen's dance tonight. I suspect the other performers also appreciated the "fuck you ex" element and the fact that she brought it off so well.

I agree - Faye was phenomenal. I've often wondered why, after her success on Strictly, she didn't get more TV work. She'd be great fronting a variety of programmes.

SequinsandStilettos · 02/12/2022 22:20

*@Piggywaspushed Get better soon love. Covid is still nasty. My DD either has that or strep throat atm, not sure which is worse. Flowers for you.
Am well Envy you got to see Callum in Cabaret. Sounds fab-u-lous. Loved him in It's a sin so, so much.

Did you enjoy musicals week @covetingthepreciousthings Who would you have voted for? Would be interesting to know how the switch to Friday has affected the vote. Shame they never release the figures.

Watch the programme from 1 hour 40 seconds. Helen is standing in front of Will and turns her body to talk to Kim. She's trying to put her arm around Kim's shoulder, but Will grabs her by the hip and arm and pulls her back towards him, so she's off balance and has to take a sideways step. He's then got one arm around her waist and is rubbing her arm on the other side. He kisses her on the neck and cheek. I think she's politely responding and maybe stopping him by putting her hand over his. She then pulls away towards Kim again. It cuts to Fleur. When it cuts back to the other dancers, she's got her arm around Kim. Will looks like he's touching Molly's back. Then back to Fleur and back to the crowd, he's got his arm around her neck/shoulders and doing the same to Gorka on the other side. It did not strike me as particularly reciprocal. Touchy, feely, wandering hands men give me the ick. Creep.

EsmaCannonball · 02/12/2022 22:27

We've been reminded that many times that Hamza is a wildlife expert from Africa, I suppose we can only be grateful he's not a television gynaecologist from Droitwich. Get five routines out of that, producers, I dare you.

Can't believe I've actually voted for a Lion King samba. I feel degraded and defiled. But it's the stage of the competition when I'm only voting for my favourite and Hamza was second from the bottom and he was comparatively undermarked. He was so good, I wish we could see him do a samba to a proper samba song.

Nikita is the best audience member.

The Kids from Fame. Kids?! To be fair, Kym's not far off the age where they cast people in those American high school TV dramas.

I've never seen Miss Saigon. Is it about a bus depot mechanic in Saigon?

No Rules Couple's Choice sounds like a Tuesday night in a swingers' club. And, to be fair, Gorka was dressed for that club.

Can't decide if I want the Gorka dress-up doll or the Vito dress-up doll. I love Vito when he's looking a bit geeky.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 02/12/2022 22:31

@XanaduKira

Faye was starring alongside Kevin Clifton in Singin' In The Rain at Sadlers Wells last year, so she must be concentrating on musicals

SequinsandStilettos · 02/12/2022 22:36

I watched from 1.40 Will was being supportive rather than handsy and Helen doesn't stop him or look offended - she rubs his hands in a platonic equally supportive gesture before being hugged in the same position by Kym. You guys are reading far too much into it and I don't even like Will.

ArcaneWireless · 02/12/2022 22:38

I have to say I am with you sequins

I’ve had worse on the Metro in Rome.

Clawdy · 02/12/2022 22:51

Fleur looked beautiful tonight. Can't stand Will.

SequinsandStilettos · 02/12/2022 22:53
  1. Doctor, doctor Thompson twins (with a Tony Beak joke about cystitis)
  2. Sugar walls Sheena Easton
  3. Let's talk about sex Salt n Peppa - salt being a bonus because Droitwich and some bonus vt about needing to talk about STIs
  4. Witch doctor (Halloween week) charleston
  5. This woman's work - contempowaft with gynae scrubs
SequinsandStilettos · 02/12/2022 22:55

Foxtrot to my guy (nae!)

I was thinking about Hands Up by Ottawan.

TheMadGardener · 02/12/2022 23:49

I was out and missed the show tonight and just caught up. So missed voting for once.

Hamza - enjoyed it, felt very classy.
Will - I liked it, made a nice change from some of the more frenetic numbers & good foxtrot.
Molly - technically very good but her and Carlos just don't make me feel anything.
Kym - thought it was a bit sluggish towards the end, bit tired looking, maybe after effects of Covid?
Fleur - not sure what the quickstep was like, too busy admiring how cute Vito looked. Needed a bit more in hold.
Helen - Admired her sassiness but agree with previous posters that it felt like it never really got going as a dance - a series of poses like the Vogue dance.

Surely Kym must go this week??

Lentilweaver · 02/12/2022 23:56

Watched on catch up today and didn't vote.

I may be the only person in the UK who thinks Hamza needs to go home, but I am probably the only person who thinks he should have gone home 3 weeks ago. I find him so lumbering and clumsy compared to the rest of them.

Molly and Helen were the best for me, though rather too much crawling around on the floor in Helen's routine. Molly wasn't as good as Georgia, but still really liked her.

Kym looked great but not much cha cha, I thought. Fleur had too much faffing around in the beginning, and the other dancers were distracting. Can't remember what Will did!

SequinsandStilettos · 02/12/2022 23:56

Hands Up by Ottawan Grin
Star to esme
You win the thread! That is <chef's kiss> Chapeau!

2Rebecca · 03/12/2022 00:25

Helen was great. I am unimpressed by Hamza as well OK he wiggled a bit in the middle but if a women largely stomped around with a wiggly bit in the middle people wouldn't be thinking she should get a medal.

Lentilweaver · 03/12/2022 00:39

Was Jowita visibly counting or did I imagine it?

SequinsandStilettos · 03/12/2022 03:11

She was counting but many of them do. She just wasn't very subtle about it! The microphones footage is always interesting. In recent years, coaching has been much more visible rather than ventriloquism/instructions delivered from gritted but ever-smiling teeth Grin. Hamza deserves to go through - there was lots of samba technique there to a song/theme that didn't lend itself easily to that dance style. I didn't see any stomping.

Thank you. Feeling better than I did last time I had it so every cloud!

I loved It's A in too, especially CSH - he deserved awards. Can never understand why the programme was so overlooked for BAFTAs.

Samcro · 03/12/2022 08:04

voted Hamza Kym and Will.

Inkanta · 03/12/2022 08:17

I really enjoyed Helen's dance tonight. I suspect the other performers also appreciated the "fuck you ex" element and the fact that she brought it off so well.

Great performance from Helen. Back to her sassy confident self. So good to see her journey - and wave bye bye to ex.

ThePoshUns · 03/12/2022 08:18

I found it hard to choose between them all last night.
I voted Molly ( love Chicago) Fleur and Hamza.
I liked Helen's routine mainly due to Gorka looking so hot, but there wasn't much dance content.
I also thought Kym looked great but found her routine a bit plodding.

the80sweregreat · 03/12/2022 08:33

I thought Helen was great , she should make the final.
I liked Hamza and Molly too.
I hope Will doesn't win, but up till yesterday , he hasn't been in the DO at all so he is obviously is very popular
