Just a new wee thread for you all 😉

OP posts:
MajesticWhine · 26/11/2022 22:40

Michael Gove would be amusing - he'd have to come off recreational drugs though...

CatLoaf · 26/11/2022 22:41

HAHA, imagine Gove being on!

Aquarius1234 · 26/11/2022 22:43

Everyone voting for Matt are only seeing one side of his personality.
I know f all about him since he entered the jungle.

Catlady2021 · 26/11/2022 22:43

Mike was a professional rugby player. They’re generally no nonsense, methodical, strong types. He was exactly how I expected him to be.

Mezmer · 26/11/2022 22:43

' If he wins it’s like Brexit all over again.'

Doesn't fuck the entire country and our young peoples futures though which is a bonus

Absolutely nothing has fucked with our ‘young people’ more than the media and all the crap it spews. Thanks to celebrity culture and all the pressure it heaps on them to conform and be a certain way, kids are hurting themselves, anxious, obsessed with their sense of self, unskilled, living a digital existence, entitled and can’t think for themselves. Celebrities have no right at all to lord it over anyone yet alone an MP who has earned his platform through a democratic process. Most people in Britain can see the hypocrisy, hence brexit, Boris and now Matt H.

He wasn't that in the jungle then??

HelpMeCope85 · 26/11/2022 22:46

I found Jill and Mike very similar. Kind of elite athlete personalities. Just kind of go for it, have a laugh, not take anything too seriously.

HelpMeCope85 · 26/11/2022 22:46

But underneath that steely determination to succeed

Ponesta · 26/11/2022 22:46

You make a very good point Mezmer. I hadn't though like that before but you're absolutely right.

But Jill much kinder. I just found his teasing of Seann quite mean, Jill to win!

Catlady2021 · 26/11/2022 22:48

Just read that Zara was banned from driving in 2020 for having too many points. She was also involved in a serious crash back in 2000.

JustDanceAddict · 26/11/2022 22:56

Just used all my votes on Jill. Just can’t bear it if MH wins.

ErinAndTonic · 26/11/2022 22:59

I'm still splitting mine between Matt and Owen. But I'm happy if Jill wins - I'm glad who's left now 😊

Yes, it doesn't matter to them if they lose their license, they just get a chauffeur or a cab, same with some celebrities, they don't have to worry about getting to places if they can't drive so just do what they want

Tescoheslth · 26/11/2022 23:02

5 votes for Jill now

Willmafrockfit · 26/11/2022 23:02

Chauffeurs cost money though

TruestRepairman · 26/11/2022 23:15

Had a look on Twitter, and it's clear there's a contingent of people out there who are FURIOUS that people with the wrong opinions are allowed to vote. This goes further than a TV show for them. They are genuinely raging against democracy.

I find that... alarming.

I'm a lifelong Labour voter, I voted Remain, but never have I thought I am so right and so morally unassailable that I ought to have a say while THOSE people shouldn't.

BarmyArmy22 · 26/11/2022 23:18

You sometimes wonder e.g. at election time how you receive the same information and process it so differently!

Mike was stoic, didn't moan about being hungry, supportive of campmates and had a laugh with people (which often involves piss-taking if you have ever spent time hanging out with blokes.) At least he managed to slam into Hancock in cyclone before he went!

Would the Hancock voters be so supportive of one of your colleagues skiving off work, as that's what he's effectively doing!

Jill only deserving winner now.

JaneJeffer · 26/11/2022 23:19

Voting for Brexit to piss off some celebrities is an interesting choice.

LydiaBennetsUglyBonnet · 26/11/2022 23:29

Pleased Mike has gone. What a boring interview! And how snarky to reckon Matt was trying to win. So what if he was?!

surprised Zara met him on the bridge. But he was obviously overjoyed I feel like they’re very much in love.

Jill to win for me.

BarmyArmy22 · 26/11/2022 23:31

An MP that takes his job so seriously that he's not actually doing it? During one of the most politically tumultuous periods for decades. He has apparently signed up for Celebrity:SAS who dares wins too. All of which would suggest he's more interested in celebrity than doing the job he's paid to do for the constituents of West Suffolk.

Well he will have to come back soon to answer questions about the dodgy crony contracts he set up as health secretary. He should be in prison not the jungle.

Amen. I’m the same. Read my posts and you’d think I’m positively Thatcher but I’m not at all. I just can’t get over the misplaced moralising and outrage from the left towards anyone that isn’t them, so don’t want to associate myself with them. Conservatives are much more fun even if I don’t agree with them politically.

Same thing happened with Brexit! These people literally cannot stand it when they are not in an echo chamber hearing exactly what it suits them to hear! The more they tried to subvert democracy the more the British public quietly seethed and then came the landslide 2019 victory for the Tories! This is just that on a smaller scale! People are sick of being told what they should be thinking and doing!

What’s worse, celebrities acting like politicians or politicians acting like celebrities? Because there’s no shortage of actors and presenters using their platform to spread their banal political ideologies when they should be sticking to their day jobs. Especially as their views are usually so out of touch with ordinary folk. So we must put up with politicians using their platforms to wheedle their way into showbiz, mustn't we? After all somehow, somewhere along the line the distinction celebrity and politics have become completely blurred. We have allowed it the fools that we are.
