They did it with Ashley (Vicar) in Emmerdale , it was a slow burn really well done storyline , highlighted a load of points .regarding Early Onset Dementia.

Or maybe Elder Abuse (Linda towards Shirley ) Shurl will be very vunerable and bereft , Linda might well bottle up her feelings and they won't share the common ground that is the loss of Mick . There will be a lot of blame being thrown which might tip Linda over the edge .
Shurl would be too stubborn and proud to admit to anyone that she's in a vunerable situation.
Might start off with money , financial control , then spiral ?

Elder abuse would be interesting
Shirley must be in her early 60s ( she had mick young and he is 45 , 1977 is on one of his west ham shirts hanging up ) but losing Tina and now M missing , her other son died too ( jimbo) the fact that Dean raped L etc . It's the perfect storm , she's had it tough with everything from a young age. She even tried to drown Mick !
Linda might enjoy the power over her with mick not around , especially if she starts drinking a lot more too and becomes vulnerable ( I mean , who wouldn't ?)

There was speculation uptrend about some characters joining a cult. Maybe it's around that? Thinking about it, I can't see what else it could be. I hope it's an interesting departure from the usual Phil Mitchell shit gangster stuff.

Actually, what would happen to Janine's baby? Maybe it's that, although still no clue on Martin's prison baby either.

Having reread the interview with CC he does say that it's something 'we as a show' haven't done before which suggests it's something other soaps have done, just not EE.

What if the storyline coming up is people trafficking?

When Ken said to Keeble the cars were full of drugs and she said they could be full of candyfloss , I thought instead of drugs what if it was illegeally trafficed people ?

Satah Mills ( Kathy was her dad's sister) got really heavily involve in a Church group , they were putting her in danger by getting her to go off "attracting" new Chutch members . Cannot remember if she was caught shoplifting or something and the group leader forced her to go along with it or he'd turn her in.
