Jack is a plank tbh. I've never liked the character. He was a bent copper once. He is hardly ever at work and seems a bit of a spare part.
I'm not sure what this George is up to, but I can't imagine it's good and what he sees in ' Lainie ' I've no idea. They don't seem a credible couple. He said the Vic would shut down if L didn't have them on board. Seems like manipulative talk to me. Even the wayland people and Max didn't get it shut down!!
Or Janine or Archie Mitchell! It is bullet proof that pub

I think what George meant is he probably provided some of the funds to enable Elaine to buy the pub with Linda in the first place?

I think they packed a bit too much into George's first episode.
We had squaring up to Nish, sticking his beak into strangers' business in the cafe, "Drinks on the house" AND the (inevitable) "can't talk now" secretive phone call. Yes, yes, we get it EE writers, he's a major new character😄

Oh I almost forgot "nearly killed a man" (but not a Nan)

I know that George has put money into the Vic , but it still felt manipulative to mention to L how she might end up having to sell up or close down without him.
She wasn't aware of this money, she thought it was just mums.
When L went to stay with her mum with Annie at her pub, nothing was mentioned at all about this guy , so makes me wonder how she met him if he lived in Marbella and she was running her own pub in Watford. She said it was a year , so she must have been back and forth a lot! Then not even tell Linda about him before he rocks up with his girls ! No wonder she's livid.
Unreasonable behavior, can you imagine the thread about this in real life ! Lol
Not to mention that Mick has been declared ' dead ' etc

I've just watched Classic Eastenders , Ian Beale is such a horrible little scrote , the news of Cindy and Ian coming back puts him right in the running to be Cufflink Man.....and it couldn't be more deserved !

I didn't like Cindy at all , but when she hired that hit man for Ian Beale she did go up in my estimation a bit !

Prediction: George will have a thing with Linda

I agree and I think they're a more credible pairing than him and Elaine.

Ah but then there is the Linda and Alfie friendship that does seem to work well, but then maybe he gets back with Kat, Phil ends up with Elaine and Linda gets it on with George.

L Trying to open George's safe when he was only downstairs ! Hiring an accountant without any T's or C's in place and thinking they will do it because they live near the arches!
Suki will be ok though , only it means she can't go anywhere now !
