Of course not - but I really mean watch it back. THIS dance - not the other dances. There were many points in the dance where she was forcing herself to make the happy face. She has done so well, but this dance was awful for her, and she did not have any joy that I could see during THIS dance.

Lovely speech from Ellie. And a lovely goodbye dance too.

Ellie is really a lovely person. Agree with others about joy and connection being sometimes more important than technique as a viewer. Trouble is, when you have such a large differential in technical ability, no amount of lovely personality is going to swing it. That's why want-it-too much ringers are such a PITA on this show for knocking out more interesting contestants. You occasionally get one who can give it all, like Karim, but quite often, there's just no heart.

See you all on Friday. Hope Kym dances after all that.
Personally, I'd have been happy with them all being through and her withdrawing at this late stage in the competition, but Ellie has had a pretty good run.

ok - no problem. It is meant to be entertainment and I am not going to have a fight about it. I know that when people have said something on the Strictly thread that I did not agree with, I have watched it again and (sometimes) understood what they were saying. Not necessarily agreeing, but have at least seen what they were talking about. I watched it again because you had a different opinion to me, and on this particular dance, she just looked bloody uncomfortable, which immediately makes the audience feel the same.

Very well done to Ellie and Johannes! Much as I adore Fleur, I am sad Ellie had to go. She and Johannes came out of that very well. That's the beauty of Strictly; people can't cover up who they are at their core (no pun intended). And much as I loathe saccharine telly, those were the most touching speeches ever!

Well done Ellie - it must be hard trying to deliver a heart felt goodbye speech while dressed as a lamp shade from a 1970 brothel!

She looked a bit bambi on ice, a bit gawky, a bit insecure and looked to Jojo a couple of times for reassurance but it was more enjoyable for me to watch than others. Jive is notoriously hard if you are long-limbed - assume Jojo left it late for this exact reason. Same as samba (doing samba rolls with a gazelle) and salsa (trying to execute the lifts) which she had left.
I'd have stuck her in trainers like Anita and her mop no, not Gleb jive, but she still would have found retraction difficult. I am just annoyed Wardrobe did her dirty so damned much this series!

It was clear they are both very well liked.
I know it was the right decision butI really wanted them to stay in, Ellie had all my votes from the start.

Very unkind to do that to Molly. Lovely gracious exit. Johannes has gone up in my estimation this series.
