Loved Molly’s tango, bar the bloody clapping all the way through.
Get what Craig and Anton said about Hamza’s bottom half, but still enjoyed the dance.
Helen’s usually one of my favourites, but that was a pretty weak samba imo and too much faffing. Voted to save, really. Think she might be bottom two.

Wasn’t a great week all round sadly. Quarter finals next week I think...?

It really was. How have standards fallen so much? It's a personality contest now and the "kindest and humblest" contestant wins. Whatever that means. Since we have no way of knowing what they do in their own homes.

I've just been on an Oti and Danny trip down memory lane. The best champion that never was. I loved them so much. SO much.

But he got only an 8 from Craig which is inexplicable.

Molly and Ellie in the Dance-Off (IMO) and Ellie will get kicked to touch.

Which is a shame, because Ballas has been a bitch to her from Week One.

Nope - I've seen videos of fat ole blokes dancing AT and they have been superb!

I rewatch so many of their dances. The ChaCha, American Smooth, VW and Jive are my favourites, but pretty much all of them were fantastic.

I guess the person who does the most perving on Strictly is Shirley and, if Hamza lends him/her a bit of hair, whoever came up with Faye and Giovanni's Charleston is the guy on drugs.

An anticlimax after last week. Pretty disappointing for most.

Our votes went to Molly as the best dancer on the night, Hamza as our favourite and Helen because Gorka. Then DH threw Fleur a couple of votes himself and a third to Hamza. Ellie surely bottom 2, no idea who the other might be.

Fleur: Filthy sexy rumba, I channelled my inner Craig and loved it
Hamza: his legs and feet really weren't good, but I thought Jowita used his strength brilliantly to pull off some difficult but subtle lifts which any other celeb man would have had to stop the dance and take a deep breath before attempting, and he acted it really well
Helen: not her dance.

I voted three times for Fleur without seeing the dances or even the scoreboard and I don't regret it.

Oh and I forgot. Yes to Clive Myrie. He's definitely a candidate for Strictly or Death. (See previous thread.).

I have just rewatched Alex and Neil's quirky charleston to pump up the jam, in suits, and loved that. I loved the alternative Muse pro foxtrot that Matt, Aliona, Brenda and Katya did. although call it a roxtrot and I will be stabby But Will's charleston just reminded me of when couples on DWTS in USA do a heavy rock tango for no reason whatsoever.

I am really failing to see why Hamza got 10s for that. I've just rewatched it on iPlayer after watching older ATs on YouTube, and - sorry to the Hamza fans, but there's no comparison. Anton was spot-on about the legs. Strength to lift Jowita isn't enough, there needs to be some footwork too!

Hamza was totally overmarked he didn’t dance, he walked Jowita around the floor while she flung herself around him. I love the AT where was the passion, where were the flicks?

I agree with you, and I am not being thread police, promise, as it never affects me as I am on a laptop... but videos slow down the thread for everyone else. Polka has an alternative video thread for us to put links on. If you report your post and reput them on the adjacent thread, others will thank you

I think Hamza has been good where there's a story that he can channel through meaningful, catchy music. Unless you are aware of the tradition of the AT, or just a naturally passionate/sexy person, I imagine the whole thing doesn't make a lot of sense, especially for the male dancer who isn't able to show off the tricks in the same way as the female dancer.

I hope they can do a tribute to Irene Cara next week.

They've already done "What a Feeling" with Karen and Jayde, so maybe there will be a pros dance on "Fame".
