Was Mr Bean the camera operator and Frank Spencer the director?
I knew I'd be voting for Tyler as soon as I saw the poor bugger in the Aston Merrygold Wig of Doom.
Fleur danced like she was in a back-brace. I wasn't thinking of Beyonce, I was thinking of the Tin Man.
Will's 'hen-night stripper who should have jacked it in at least five years ago' shtick was Purest Blackpool. Total fun at last.
Gorka's one step away from lying down in the middle of the dance-floor and letting the audience use his genitalia for a hoopla game if it will get him the Glitter Ball. Shameless.
I couldn't tell if those weird bunny-hop things Ellie did were choreographed or a lift gone wrong, especially as she was apologising to Johannes so much for cocking things up (and I couldn't see anything else that was obviously a blunder).
The atmosphere was a bit off tonight. The Clauditorium and the Blackpool audience were fine but the events on the dance-floor seemed a bit under-produced and unspectacular. Most of the celebs seemed knackered and under-rehearsed and they didn't really perform 'out' to the audience and cameras, most of the extra dancers weren't well-integrated into the routines, and there weren't any Blackpool moments like Joe McFadden descending from the rafters to go gay-nightclubbing, Matt Baker back-flipping across the floor or Kelvin Fletcher's prison press-ups. Even the costumes were very ordinary. They just didn't seem to go big enough this year.
