I thought Ellie and Nikita were hamstrung by their song/theme. Yes, it was a bit dull, but what else were they meant to do? V pleased they stayed in. From their faces I think they'd both mentally written their goodbye speeches.
Ellie T was OK but CC is just mucking abaaaaahht really isn't it? (Len: gone but not forgotten).
Hamza was magnetic as always. I get final vibes from him.
Tony was a lot better, but I still feel like he's hulking over Katya in hold.
Molly and Carlos; Craig was unnecessarily cruel saying the lifts were 'ugly' – could have said they need to be smoother or something instead. They lack a bit of chemistry too. But I thought they were not helped by the song; the band arranged it as well as they could, but it is fundamentally lacking that AT sultriness.
Will was good; I liked the stylisation. I love Nancy but I'm still not warming to Will; so nakedly ambitious it turns me off.
Helen was boring. I can see that she's good but she doesn't make me feel anything. I liked the lighting though, the evocation of the forest.
Kym is half-hearted IMO. Quite good as rumbas go though.
Tyler I just didn't get. The concept didn't work for me and although I'm obviously no expert, I didn't see how the dancing itself was THAT brilliant. He's rather dull; every week when he comes on I think 'Oh yes, him' – I forget about him in between times.
Fleur awful. Sorry Fleur and Vito; I quite like them both. But the music was cacophonous, the set and theme were baffling, they looked a mess and she reverted to messy, chaotic Latin, which I thought she'd sorted out.
Not sorry to see James go, although I like Amy; rubbish theme and he just didn't get any character into the dance.
Nikita looked hot as Icarus in his white suit
Although I'm not sure the Icarus myth actually involves him being seduced by the ladeeez, does it?
