I can't remember which I wanted to watch? Are either any good or should I not waste my time?

We watched hill house, we’re enraptured and thus though ooooh bly manor will be fab.

well. Bly manor was shit.

Enjoyed both but Hill House was just outstanding.

I watched about half an hour of Hill House , then had to put the remote in the freezer.

Hill House is great. Characters you can get invested in, good scares, good acting and writing. The ending isn't the best but not terrible.

I found Bly Manor slow and dull, but people who stick with it do seem to like it overall.

I think Midnight Mass is by (some of?) the same people. I liked that too, though not as much as Hill House. The writer got a bit too indulgent with endless monologues.

I thought they were both a bit rubbish. The Hill House is based on the Shirley Jackson novel but bears no resemblance to it really. I've love a straight forward adaptation.

Lots of other people loved it though, so if you're going to watch one, I'd suggest the Hill House.

Hill House without a doubt. Loved it, found Bly Manor okay but nowhere near as good.

Hill House!

I love both - Hill House is scarier but a bit more traumatic, Bly is not so scary but is sadder. I would go for Hill House as its more of a trad horror, and if you find you like the vibe go for Bly!

Midnight Mass is brilliant too, but again not a trad horror, and a little slow in parts (to say the least!).

Hill House is one of the best things I've ever watched. Genuinely.

If you like them then Midnight Mass and The Midnight Club are also by the same director.

Loved both but Hill House

I loved both but I'm in the minority of actually preferring Bly Manor. I thought the storyline was really intriguing and sad and I loved the slightly OTT gothic vibe.

Loved Hill House. Couldn’t stick with Bly Manor.

Hill House was fantastic! Shit all happened in Bly Manor and it was a waste of a few hours.

Bly Manor was trying way too hard to be as good as Hill House. Me and DH loved Hill House!!!

Hill House was amazing - binge watched it. Very excited about Bly Manor and was disappointed.

If you are going to watch both what Bly Manor first.

If not just Hill House

I wouldn't recommend it in that case! Quite a lot of jump scares and other horror-type stuff. One of the jump scares even made my husband jump and he never reacts to this stuff I bet people know which one I'm on about.

Hill House for sure. Brilliant!

Bly Manor was a poor replica. It bored me actually.
