Hill House was too scary for me

Midnight Mass one of my fav series of all time

just finished Midnight Club - not bad but not great.

Does Hill House get any better? sat through first episode and thought it was rubbish. started second but doesn't seem much better??

Yeah based on Midnight club by Chris Pike and a lot of the stories they tell are also based on his books. Recognised a few..took me back to teenage years!

Hill House definitely! I did like Bly Manor more after episode 5 when it stated to get going. However some of the accents were a bit too much....

@LetsGoFlyAKiteee Oh yes I know the Midnight Club is based on a book but I was talking about Midnight Mass - the church/cult one with Hamish Linklater.

Can't remember what happens in ep 1 but yes it does get a lot better imo.

Hull House is excellent, brilliant production and some really good performances. Bly Manor is utterly shit in comparison.

I only watched about three episodes of Bly Manor and got bored.

I rewatched Hill House recently and it made a lot more sense second time around. I liked that the actors cast as the grown-up sister siblings all looked similarish too (rare in productions), so it seemed more believable that they were really a family.

Loved Hill House and it had some good, scary moments.
Bly Manor was awful: a American, Disneyfied idea of England. A big house with "staff" 🙄, some awful accents, and it was shot in Canada!

I enjoyed Hill House and Bly Manor (provided I'm not british so not bothered by bad accents) and adored Midnight Mass. Definitely the best for me.

Just finished Midnight Mass. Really enjoyed it but felt some of the monologues were a bit long!

Bly manor was rubbish

Hill House very good and lots of ghosts to spot hiding in the corners.
Bly ok but terrible accents and some cringey acting because of it.
Midnight Mass good in parts and had high hopes for it but I did find myself looking around the room thinking about what jobs needed doing during the monologues (it was trying too hard I thought to be deep)

I've realised Ive realised I've already seen the first two episodes and I gave up. They didn't seem to show life living at the house. Or do they after the second episode? I was confused who the 3 older woman were as the older sister looked like the mum. So 5 siblings in total. 2 boys / 3 girls?

Hill house is possibly my fav tv show ever! Bly manor isn’t a patch on it, and midnight mass is just ok.

Yep that's right - 3 girls and 2 boys - Steve, Shirley, Theo, Nell and Luke
