Yeah the am dram stuff has jumped the shark. The actor playing Wendy Crozier looks embarrassed to be there. I don't think she even has to act at all when she rolls her eyes and sighs at it and looks like she's cringeing inside.

Mary may well be over-hamming as vengeance for the appalling script. That's the actual script, not the script-within-a-script.

Actually, Eastenders went through a phase of fairy tale tropes a while back and then had a bit of Shakespeare going on at one point.

I can imagine being disappointed to have paid good farthings to get into the first performance of Corialanus. I can well imagine a 'Mary' playing Volumnia and someone like Brian insisting on playing Corialanus. His hapless wife would be played by Max-playing-Summer obvs.

(I saw it on stage once and even Charles Dance in the lead role couldn't rescue it.)

Where on earth is the Hope story going? She is such a manipulative little madam. Horrible to Sam, unbelievably rude to her parents. Blame shaming poor Tyrone and conveniently forgetting her Mum moved her to a new home and was about to marry another man.
The school stuff was beyond ridiculous. Children waving £5.00 notes around for a book about someone they had probably never heard of,. School would have been on to it after 5 minutes, at least one child would take great pleasure in telling head what was going on!

Fizz and Ty are far far far too easy going with Hope. She was given breakfast in bed and taken shopping after being suspended from school. I'm not promoting it but I'd have a,red arse for month I don't know about being pampered like a Princess and Poor little Ruby who is as good as gold got nothing.
