Great British Bake Off starts Tuesday 13th September

Anyway, as it says in the thread title. New series starts tonight.

I miss when they all sat and had a cuppa once things were in the oven and didn't have to do a heap of other tasks.

What a strange, weird and totally unnecessary theme for a baking programme - who on earth is going to be inspired by this? Certainly not me anyway.

There was a time when I used to get enthused about the bakes and want to try them out at home (and did, several times).

There's nothing that's seemed remotely appealing this series.

This is so random. It's like saying to the bakers to just bake anything. I miss the celebration cakes and bread week when that baker made the bread lion.
