I based my detection of it being Billy purely from that photo posted on the other EE thread! It was the blue t shirt and money pouch that did it

Lots of spoilers available on Facebook , but I rarely read them.
Enjoyed the flashback episode , but I felt it was too much for 7.30 slot with the punch up scenes.
Still , it'll be interesting to see what Phil does now.

Yes. Eric and Archie were brothers. Eric died years before EE started.
Stacey hit Archie Mitchell over the head with the vic statue one day and killed him. He had previously raped her.
It all came out for the 25 anniversary live episodes when Stacey took off to Spain with Lily. It's hazy on the time lines , but I do remember Stacey confessing to Max and Bradley falling off the vic roof. they had a number of suspects lined up too.
Barbara Windsor once said they wanted her to be the one ' what dun it' but it was changed to Stacey.

Sam was born in 1975 so 3 or 4 was right for the episode but I agree she looked older. I supposes it's difficult to get a child that young to follow instructions though.

Sam looked about 6 , but I wasn't aware of the Mitchell gap to her siblings all these years !

I think they'd given her too many lines to have a child of the right age do it.

Why is she after Billy?
It was Phil who threatened her father with the gun and Archie who shot him.
Has she been after the wrong man all these years?
Is it because Billy was already known to the police before that night whereas it was Phil’s first big ‘job’? And she assumed it must have been Billy?

I hadn't seen any Billy spoilers either - it was the most obvious thing I'd ever seen when I saw the photo on the last thread. It was very clearly Billy.

There was a really sad eposode a few years back ( I think Phil was telling Sharon) when he and Grant were young.
Eric had set up the Christmas present model railway on the front room floor . Phil sneaked down with a candle to have a look.
When Eric discovered dripped candlewax he went ballistic, broke up the railway and thrashed Phil shouting "Be a MAN " as he laid into him.
Phil was face down on the draining board breathing in the smell of bleach but had to protect Grant so he basically took the beating
(It makes you look at Philth in a new light )

Why doesnt Phil just tell Keeble it was his dad that pulled the trigger?
Not only is he long gone, but the guy was a bastard to them all anyways.
