I know nothing about him and have liked what I’ve seen. He seems kind. But for some reason know I’m not supposed to think this.

A bit OT (sorry) - but can anyone else hear a constant background hum on the BBC’s coverage? Medium pitch, slightly wavering tone, just constantly there. As soon as the crowd falls silent, I can hear it.

DH has switched between live TV, iPlayer and the YouView box. The noise is always there. He can’t hear it, but it’s doing my head in.

Puzzled I don't think they stop talking long enough to hear anything! I have tinnitus so quietness sounds buzzy to me. Sorry I'm no help!

I could hear buzzing- I think it was the fan on dh's pc (it has been overheating)- and it has just stopped.

Atmosphere beginning to build up! Great interview with Billie Jean and Martina , kudos to Billie Jean for the Wimbledon themed specs, also a very sweet sequence of Ons Jabeur just after a practice session this morning when despite having other stuff on her mind she took time for selfies and chat with people watching. There is something very charming about her, not least the fact that she is not a clone of so many of the recent top players. I really like the diversity in womens tennis.

Kid started work early this morning so I've been on one since 5.30am, hot and knackered but worth it as about to have shower then wine and then not move.

I’ve just switched on so I missed Billie Jean’s Wimbledon themed specs. I also like Ons viques - I think it would be good if she won - I don’t really know much about Rybakina (except that she’s originally from Russia)

I like Chrissie - it’s good to see her looking well - she was talking quite openly to Sue about her ovarian cancer the other day - hope she’s ok - she’s quite funny. Pam is very loud!

Ons is really lovely- she is a great role model for the sport, and always so positive.
I think Elena has surprised a lot of people, but she did reach the 4th round last year.
