Jane I agree - I said before the tournament, that if he matched his last result of a semi final place (and he has, even if he didn't play) that would be a great result. When he hobbled away in Rome, I didn't expect him to do what he did at RG. So Vamos
The press conference reminded me when he pulled out of RG in 2016- except then, I had not expected it, as there hadn't really been any indication his wrist was so bad. He had played well in the first matches.
Even if Djok wins - he won't match 22 slams this year, since as it stands, he can't play in the US. And Daniil will stay at number 1 for a bit, just to annoy him further.
