Rafa most certainly is a good man. The only upside is that the match was predicted to break viewing figures for Wimbledon, and I don't want Dick to have that. I don't think a Djok Dick final will have such a draw

Que sera sera. A few weeks ago we didn't think Rafa would be able to play Wimbledon so it was a treat to have him there and he didn't lose a single match 😏 Vamos! Hope he has a good rest now. I bet Sebastian gave him an earful last night.

Unless Norris can pull it out of the bag there's not much to look forward to on the men's side now (understatement).

Yes, as much as I would love Norris to beat Djok I can’t see it happening - but you never know.

Kyrios will have an advantage, because he’ll be more rested.

Jane I agree - I said before the tournament, that if he matched his last result of a semi final place (and he has, even if he didn't play) that would be a great result. When he hobbled away in Rome, I didn't expect him to do what he did at RG. So Vamos

The press conference reminded me when he pulled out of RG in 2016- except then, I had not expected it, as there hadn't really been any indication his wrist was so bad. He had played well in the first matches.

Even if Djok wins - he won't match 22 slams this year, since as it stands, he can't play in the US. And Daniil will stay at number 1 for a bit, just to annoy him further.

I'm not convinced the rest will benefit dick, firstly he will know people think he doesn't deserve to be in the final, secondly, and I think this year has been a good example of this with the amount of men that have been two sets up and lost it, that tennis is at least as much about the mind as it is the body.

kazza the doubles lot are always partner swapping! . Des and Neal won Wimbledon together last year- just after Des had partnered (and won ) RG with Joe Salisbury. And they beat Joe and Harriet in the Wimbledon final .

Then she won the US open - with Joe, again. . But they lost in the first round of AO.

I think she lost in the Qfs in RG this year- this time with Neal.

Who knows who she will play with in the US Open!

I agree @Fizzywinegum. it was clear from Nadal’s comments at the press conference that he’d still been hoping to play, it was only when he received the scan results and consulted with his medical team that he made the difficult decision not to. It’s disappointing for Fritz, but he had every chance to beat Nadal. I do feel sorry for the people who forked out for Centre Court tickets today, perhaps they should have made Kyrgios play an exhibition match, but who would volunteer for that!?
