OMFG... what a show. Now we will probs have to wait 2 years for the next one but bloody hell they know how to end a season.
just a few questions

1. I was convinced Eddie was number 10, he still could be but I’m bummed we never find out and of course that they chose to kill him.

2 . Max was the star of the season. I almost thought she was a gonna and eleven wouldn’t save her. Close call

1. I’m so happy Joyce and hop finally got together. And how hot did hop look this season?


2. why am I convinced will is going to die in the last season. He was vecnas first ever kidnapping.


3. we need a robin and steve spin-off where they get new jobs at the beginning of every season.

Where was Argyle right at the very end when it started to "snow"?

I loved it even thought it was so long. At one point thought they were going to kill them ALL off!

So glad too they didn’t to anything to Steve, him and Dustin have been my favourite so far. Have to agree the reunion between hopper and el could have been better🥺

I took it to mean the particles went into the demodogs that had been in the tanks but were freed when the Russians accidentally shot the tanks while shooting at the Demogorgon.
Murray looked at the CCTV where they were all roaming around and said something like "I think you have your answer Jim - the particles went inside THEM"

I reckon the beginning of season 5 will show what happened in the "two days".

You'll see them all mourning Eddie's death together properly as Dustin breaks the news of his death and how they all learn what happened with Max and their understanding of where Vecna is now.

At least I hope so, Eddie needs retribution!!

David Harbour put on a load of weight and then lost it again for his role as The Red Guardian in Black Widow

“I said to the A.D. [assistant director], ‘Listen, we have to shoot the flashback stuff at the end, so that by the time we shoot the flashback, I’ll lose the weight and I’ll be thin.’ And he was like, ‘You’ll never be thin.'” I was like, ‘Yes I will, man.’ And I lost like 60 lbs. through the shooting. The first stuff we shot was at the prison, so that belly that’s coming at you, that’s all real belly. And then as we shot, I started to lose weight. I was just hungry a lot of the shoot.”

When Max was saying "I'm so scared! I'm not ready to die" I found it utterly heartbreaking. Couldn't stop crying.

I just adored this season. The show as a whole is just phenomenal.

I’ve enjoyed it, but definitely wouldn’t describe it as phenomenal. Will be interesting to se3 how things wrap up in S5.

Am now looking forward to the final instalment of Better Call Saul - now that really is phenomenal !

The demogorgons give me the real heebeegeebies 😬 when they roar and look like the ugliest flower ever and are all moist and dribbly - makes me shudder everytime!

And I agree that it feels like they have let Eddie down by not allowing him redemption with the townspeople ☹️

So many questions!

If its snowing in Hawkins, does that mean in 2 years Hawkins will look exactly like the upside down?

Why aren't more people panicking? Investigating the 'earthquake' etc?

Are there any demagorgons in normal Hawkins?

In 2 years time, will Max still be in a coma? Will Nancy have chosen her man?

When is season 5 out?

So I have finally watched all series' in the past two weeks! I watched the final episode on a plane coming home yesterday and have questions!!
Were lucas and max in the actual house whilst the others were in the upside down? If not how did Jason get there?
What do the particles MEAN?!!!
Was papa actually Very Bad?

Yes. Lucas and max were in the house. Then they knew Vecna would be in the house in the upside down and vulnerable.

What was the quote. Something about Papa being a mediocre man living through others. He cleared had dodgy morals and wasn't constrained much by ethics. But I think in his way, as Much as he was capable, he wanted the best for El. I like that it wasn't simple black and white.

I found Robin annoying and her ditzy new personality jarringly modern. I loved it other than that! Was Max blind at the end? I mean, her eyeballs looked intact but with a white film, and she said she couldn't see. I hope it's because she is " lost" and it's not going to be a physically permanent result.

@WhoWants2Know this is my prediction too, Max will become integral in destroying Vecna next season, a la Harry Potter/Voldemort

I am surprised so many on here are perceiving Max as “saved” - I felt that when El ventured into her mind at the end when she is in the hospital bed it was clearly implied that Max was
actually dead. As in, her body was kept alive by the machines but she herself was gone. So, so sad! I couldn’t believe when her limbs actually started snapping!

Also, why is everyone so white there will be a 2 year time-lag before the start of the next season? Surely the way season 4 finished implies that season 5 will pick up straight from there? I don’t believe there will be a lag at all.
I liked the suggestion from a PP that season 5 will expand on what happened in those two days between Max dying and everyone arriving back in Hawkins. Whether any more surprises will be revealed then, or it just shows how everyone actually properly mourns Eddie I’m not sure, but I’m convinced some blanks will be filled in, otherwise it’s just too jarring and the overall writing has been too good for that so far.
Overall I thought it was good, but the finale was too long. I think there were far too many speeches and long panning, and really slow speaking if that makes sense. They could have cut that episode by a good half hour and I think it would have been better for it. The length, plus the
fact that it kept jumping between the three story lines meant some of the momentum was lost for me. I think that’s why I was less affected by Eddie’s (and Max’s) deaths - the tension was built to the point where it sort of snapped for me and I just wanted it to finish if that makes sense?
Loved that Joyce and Hop finally got together.
Really annoyed that the Nancy-Steve-Jonathan storyline just sort of fizzled out and wasn’t resolved.

And actually quite annoyed at Jonathan mostly just spending this series as a useless stoner. Although I loved the moment between him and Will. That was beautiful.
I did also quite like the final attack coming from
all angles. I thought that was quite clever. But I do hope the final season will see them
all fighting together back in Hawkins again.

Narratively I don't think they'd have included putting Max into a coma if she wasn't going to end up Ok. They'd have just allowed her to die.

@Hanswurst I got that from it too, I thought they were trying to show she is actually dead but I can't be sure. I'm thinking her body might be used as some kind of vessel in s5, like, she comes back but it isn't her? Maybe she's trapped somewhere and needs help getting back to her body?
Or perhaps it was a statement that El can potentially bring people back from the dead but just needs some skills tweaking?
I hate that I need to wait 2 years to know!

Roll on Season 5. Although I found it a bit of a slog in some parts, the charm and innocence of the first 2 seasons is no more so it’s very much just hours of non stop gripping action which is great but can be exhausting, I’d never be able to binge that season.

I loved Max and Lucas, Elevens confidence, and that scene with Nancy shooting Vecna was just so good. The stoner was annoying and I think they struggled with Jonathan, plus the guy who plays Will seems awkward now he’s older?

Re Max, Papa said that Vecna consumes people - I assumed El couldn’t find her because Vecna has consumed her ‘soul’ - setting up a rescue of her in season 5.
