Just caught up on 9 or 10 episodes I think and watching it all condensed you just kinda realise how little actually happens

TitsInAbsentia · 20/06/2022 15:54

@notgreatthanks forgot about that!

Oh gross, an exchange of fluid task...hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrl.....
Will we really get to see someone dumped tonight or will that be a cliff hanger?

Yeh I’m guessing she doesn’t want to “be known for her dad” so some agreement about not speaking about it but it must have been mentioned by now.

I thought they weren’t doing casa amor this year?

EddieHowesBlackandWhiteArmy · 20/06/2022 16:05

I can’t imagine they’d ditch Casa Amor, it gives excellent drama.

Rollergirl11 · 20/06/2022 16:12

Just seen ES on First look. I really don’t like the way she talks to people, trying to gaslight Amber like she did with Davide.

CarpyDiem · 20/06/2022 16:16

What we actually need, I think, is for a public vote for who we like least, and then for least liked boy and girl (not but couple) to leave.

Not islanders choosing who to keep from those who were lowest in 'most liked' public voting. Rather an actual, viewer-decided shake out.

None of them are attached enough for this to be heartbreak territory yet, and it might break the stranglehold of the original islanders/couples

Yes it never evolves. Just rinse repeat with the newbies and re couplings.
With Big Brother you really got to know them and it felt like a really long summer.
LI is just background fodder.

I agree, islanders getting to choose between two people inevitably leads to newbies going and frustrated me for the whole series last year, and I'm guessing will frustrate me again this year!

Aquarius1234 · 20/06/2022 16:21

I don't like Gemma in that 1st look clip.

Aixellency · 20/06/2022 16:26

Yes, the inclination to maintain the status quo does make LI more like The Circle than Big Brother.

Tonight looks good, though.

Lampzade · 20/06/2022 17:21

My favourite male housemates are Davide and Dami.
i didn’t like Davide at first, but he is so unapologetically vain that he just makes me
laugh.
Dami is an interesting character and has a lot of layers. He strikes me as someone who is very secure in himself. However, that eating bogey story was disgusting and I can see why Amber has got the ick.
ikenna has to go, he is just incredibly dull imo

Favourite female housemate is Paige even though she hasn’t done much. Posters have been critical of Gemma, but she has grown on me. She appears to be a girls girl but is a tad reserved
Not a fan of either Tash or Amber tbh.

Zampa · 20/06/2022 17:24

Last season I really did feel that the producers had too much control over who was dumped from the island. There was a lot of "at risk of being dumped" rather than a straight see you later. I appreciate that they want to keep the big characters but agree with PPs that sometimes they do need to move on some of the OGs so we can get to know newbies.

Tonight looks good but would be disappointed if Danica ends up leaving early which I think is a possibility as I can't see her being a favourite yet. Wonder if she'll be safe from tonight's vote?

Lampzade · 20/06/2022 17:28

I think Gemma really likes Luca. She’s so different with him compared to when she was coupled up with Davide. She just doesn’t wear her heart on her sleeve but she gives enough away to let it be known she’s smitten i reckon.

I agree

@Zampa yeah she is excluded luckily

iamamother · 20/06/2022 17:35

Danica reminds me a bit of loyal Georgia from a few series ago

BiscoffSundae · 20/06/2022 17:35

Ikenna is awful so dull, needs to go 😴

Zampa · 20/06/2022 17:39

Good news @sunja

I find her an awful PITA. So loud and constantly talking. Maybe she’d suit Jacques. He is coming across very badly.
Im sure she was told to pick Luca to be fair.

marmiteadict · 20/06/2022 18:07

Ekin Sue is so going to make sure Amber knows Dami isn't into her and fancies Indyah.

I know it's an unpopular opinion but Ekin Sue is reality TV gold. This is her personal telenovela and she's happy being the villain.

BiscoffSundae · 20/06/2022 18:23

Will amber and indiyah fall out if she gets with Dami, that’s if she is into him as well 🤔

Aquarius1234 · 20/06/2022 18:35

I find it difficult to get into any argument or drama as we see so little then it's all blown over in 2 minutes with a music montage of them all getting ready for bed.
Don't quite get that. Doesn't make for good tv for any genuine? Drama to be nipped in the bud when it's hardly started.

Totally agree - I'm loving Ekin-Su!

Tillsforthrills · 20/06/2022 18:46

Watched first episode last night as I couldn’t find anything else so can’t comment on the OG’s.

Danica is very irritating though. It was embarrassing to watch how she found it so hard to accept a no from Luca.

CoolShoeshine · 20/06/2022 18:46

I’m wondering if the housemates have been told not to talk about Gemma’s dad (even though they probably have all guessed because it was speculated in the media weeks before the start that Michael Owen’s daughter might be going in) because the programme makers want to do a dramatic reveal. It’s possible he might come to the villa when the parents visit or they might just let it slip in a challenge.

BeggyMitchell · 20/06/2022 18:57

It is confusing as Liam said on AfterSun that it was news to him about Gemma's dad and now we know that Danica knows ...

I don't see how that would stay a secret given then all being together 24/7 for 2 weeks so far plus Jacques.

Bah, they all must know, just very weird of the producers not to acknowledge it in any way. Strange approach.
