I'm pretty easily pleased and I'm finding it seriously boring at the moment.

I think Tasha really isn't into Andrew but feels she should be.

He's ok looking and kind and caring so she can't understand why he's not enough for her.

He seriously gives her the ick every time he tries to move closer to her. She needs to be brave and move on.

I'm a day behind so I haven't seen the new men yet. I like to watch on record so that I can FF the boring parts and ads! I watch with my 14 year old DD and Luca was a great example of behaviour to look out for the other night. I'm miffed that he wasn't pulled up for his body-slamming of Gemma. The behaviour from him that followed was appalling.

I get so bored of the same routines every year:

Two people go on a (usually really boring) date. They come back, everyone screams and men and women split off to discuss separately (and we have to endure both stories).

A couple is chosen for the hideaway. Women all scream and help chosen women get dressed in ridiculous lingerie. Men all cheer and talk about what the chosen man should do. Next day, they're greeted with cheers and separate to discuss again.

Someone shares that they've kissed their partner and there are whoops and screams of ridiculous excitement.

It's just the same thing every year.

Yet still I watch 😂

I'm glad to see that Jacques isn't universally liked here. I get a really bad feeling from him and don't think he's coming across well at all. Nor Luca for reasons he's made obvious. I can't put my finger on the problem with Andrew but there's something that makes me feel uneasy.

Hahaha ridiculous isn't it. I get annoyed with myself when I'm watching it but again, can't wait for 9pm to come around and do it all again!

Is there a single man in that villa that Ekin-Su hasn't said has nice eyes, said to at least three of them

Ekin Su knows what will make it on to tv. She’s an actress. Tbh we all know what makes Love Island interesting. Any of them could go on and do it.

im liking ekin, got to give it to her at least she’s entertaining the other girls are so boring, I think Paige is the only other one I like in there. It does make you wonder why they pick such boring people, I know it’s already been said but come on are these seriously the best? Ikenna is so dull it’s unreal there is just no personality to most of them it’s just about looking good

The thing is I don't know anyone that watches LI that actually wants to see the exact same format and daily routine chats word for word each series.
Non of the viewers are asking for like for like.
So I'm puzzled as to why the producers do this ultra fake set up show.
We don't want to see boring conversations so stop it!

I'm outside the show's target audience, but DD is squarely in it.

I'd really like to see, in the early weeks at least, more of the type of stuff that is on 'Unseen' (when the residents are just goofing round that is, not repeats of parts with invented subtitles, or bits of challenges that were left on the cutting room floor for the main show) so it gives more of a sense of their characters

DD is thinks 'Unseen' is fun, but is happy with the main show's focus on potential
relationships. However she thinks that in this series and the last the content has been two thin for that, and that it's dull and dragged out.

So slow, repetitive, ill-expressed, 'can I pull you for a chat' conversations aren't ticking any boxes for either of us.

Watching in the hope the next episode will be better. Not bothering with catch-up if either of us misses one.

I thought ES was really nasty in her conversation with Davide, couldn't she just have said she was more attracted to Jay instead of trying to start a row so she could flounce off. She does like her line about nice eyes and keeps trotting it out too. Amber and Dami seems over.

Exactly. And it feels like she's taking elements of all the past series 'biggest' or most controversial characters who dominated series but also won the public over Eg. Megan, Maura, Faye and has Frankensteined them together into LoveIslandstein.

Yoooohooooooooo! I think to be honest just watch the best bits and then maybe tonight's might have a bit more guts to it - Davide and Ekin-Su having a bit more of an argument. Or, I dunno, it might still be shit 😆

When are we due another recoupling? I think it could be fun if ES doesn't get first pick and someone else picks Jay, although knowing now that he's had two snog sessions with ES on the terrace I'd be inclined to not bother. Hope Davide doesn't get the boot as he's one of the few with a bit of spark out of the guys.

I think (if the producers are smart) they'll bring in 2 girls before the recoupling? At least I hope so cause right now we're gonna lose Davide and he is 1/2 of what's keeping me watching

For science I just stuck on an episode of S3 (Amber and Kem, Muggy Mike etc) while I was folding the washing. No interviews! And there was 'drama' from practically episode 2 because back then they were mostly taking the couples a bit more seriously (unless there was a specific other person) and not all this "I'm technically with X but my door is wide open to everyone and anyone who looks in my direction".

I wonder if this season is a product of its evolution if that makes any sense?

I never thought I’d say this, but I actually feel sorry for Davide. There was no need for Ekin-su to be so deceitful to him for 2 days. She could have just told him she wants to get to know Jay. She lied outright when he asked where she was & then turned it on him when he wanted to chat about what’s going on at the fire pit. And then making him out to be the bad guy with everyone else.

Saw First Look. ES is totally acting for screen time. But it’s actually horrible to watch. She’s gaslighting Davide and if it were a man doing it everyone would be up in arms.

ES was laughing and kept repeating her lines.

But ill take anything that is better than the boring 😴 chats during the day.

This definitely, I think she was trying to be dramatic and have a lot of attention and screen time but it was nasty gas lighting nonsense.

EK has lovely eyes I noticed. She looks way better more natural.

Why do I get the impression the next bombshell is going to be a bombshell for more than one reason? Felt like they were teasing that it's someone we already know, or the islanders do
