I never watched this show first time around but I remember all the hype surrounding it. I've started watching it and currently half way through season one. Its really addictive in a crap tv way. Did anyone watch it/watching it now?

What's your thoughts on the housewives of Wisteria Lane?

I love it. I've probably seen it 5 times all in Shock

bozna · 30/05/2022 03:35

It addictive crappy drama. You will love it because female drama doesn't get much better really

Noglassjustthebottleandastraw · 30/05/2022 03:37

@IstayedForTheFeminism really? 5 times! That's good going. I cant believe how much drama happens in one episode, it totally keeps you hooked. I love all the different dimensions each person brings to the episodes.

I should have been in bed hours ago but here I am still watching 😂

Definitely. I remember it was massive at the time but thought that it was a deep and meaningful show. I remember watching talk shows and the actresses would come on and talk about it, like it was a deeply serious show....

Nope to me it's like watching sunset beach if you remember that.

Loved it! Should probably watch it again.

it's schmaltzy fun but there were some moving and memorable scenes too.

There really is also lot's of reminders of how life used to be. Yellow pages, CDs, filofax etc. It looks miles away from how we live now.

I rewatched it recently, I absolutely loved it both times if watching. Great characters and was funny when re watching as lots of actors appear in it in small roles that have been in lots since and I hadn't remembered they had featured in DH.

EmmaH2022 · 30/05/2022 12:55

I'm very nostalgic for that period so it will probably increase that!

Pippin2028 · 30/05/2022 12:56

Can I ask which service you watch it on? It was on prime a while back but they took it off 😢

justasking111 · 30/05/2022 13:04

I watched it again recently it's still great

I looked on prime etc and ended up finding it on Disney 😊

@justasking111 it is a good program looking forward to watching it all.

@EmmaH2022 you will definitely get an increase in nostalgia.

@PugInTheHouse I really like the humor and jaw dropping drama.

Just realized that I should have put spoilers in the thread title 😭 in an episode I watched last night Gabby done her laundry in her hot tub 😂

I was totally hooked. It was pure escapism, I loved the houses and the clothes. The actresses were all excellent and I think that elevated it.

BlueKaftan · 30/05/2022 14:35

I love Gabby. She’s such a hot mess.

TuTuLemon · 30/05/2022 14:38

We watched all (8?) series through the first lockdown in 2020, never watched it originally but we became hooked!!

TuTuLemon · 30/05/2022 14:39

Also you are obviously a long way off yet but the ending was lovely, it's not often a long running show has a satisfying ending but DH ends perfectly.

LaBellina · 30/05/2022 14:40

I absolutely loved it. Still one of my most favorite series ever. Lynette and Gaby were my favorites.

Noglassjustthebottleandastraw · 30/05/2022 14:42

@ElderflowerTonic the houses are so lovely. Think Susan's is my favourite.

@BlueKaftan she's so funny and all over the place. I feel sorry for her at times. Carlos is such a horrible husband to her, no wonder she hooked up with John.

Will ask @mnhq if they could please add spoilers to the thread title.

@TuTuLemon perfect lockdown binge watching. Wish I had watched it during lockdown. I am having to limit myself on so many episodes per night due to work. Which is annoying. Aww thanks for the heads up about the ending, I was hoping it would end well.

@LaBellina my heart goes out to Lynette trying to juggle the kids as a stay at home mum. She always looks run down and tired. I love the way her and Tom bounce of each other. Not sure who my favourite housewife is yet as they are all so different. Transfixed with Brees hair, it never moves 😂

BundtCake · 30/05/2022 14:51

It’s great and I think it’s aged well.

LaBellina · 30/05/2022 14:52

Oh mrs van de Kamp’s hair 😂 I suddenly remember now that episode with the moonbump and how a fork got stuck in it during a bbq and even then Bree stays calm and collected and her hairband didn’t move 😂

BeaLola · 30/05/2022 14:53

Remember watching it first time around - loved it

Hard to pick a favourite as I like all of them throughout the various series

If I had to pick Gaby or Bree - Brees hair !

TuTuLemon · 30/05/2022 14:56

I couldn't pick a favourite housewife, they were all my favourite and one point or another!

Noglassjustthebottleandastraw · 30/05/2022 15:03

@BundtCake it really has, the writing and acting is great. When Edie was grieving for Martha that was sad.

@LaBellina not seen that one yet. I've watched up to Gabby finding out at the bbq shes pregnant. I can imagine Bree 😂 also she moves her body robotic 😂 her one liners are so good. At dinner and she tells Andrew and the priest what Rex likes in bed 😂

OP posts:
LaBellina · 30/05/2022 15:14

Oh you’re in for a treat, keep watching because Bree is going to get even better.
