I never watched this show first time around but I remember all the hype surrounding it. I've started watching it and currently half way through season one. Its really addictive in a crap tv way. Did anyone watch it/watching it now?

What's your thoughts on the housewives of Wisteria Lane?

I was so disappointed what they did to Gabby.

Marc Cherry also did Why Women Kill, but there's no DVD available unless you pay a fortune. i'd like to see that though. love Lucy Liu.

Devious Maids is also by Marc Cherry and on Disney. Thoroughly recommend it if you like Desperate Housewives!

@EmmaH2022 what happens to Gabby? Aww really poor Lynette. Will look up why women kill never heard of it before. Same wouldn't pay a fortune to watch something though.

@LlamasSitOnPyjamas never heard of Devious Maids either will pop that on my list to watch in the future.

My favourite wife changed throughout the series. They all did things I loved and things I hated.
Ugh. Might have to watch it again

Watched it again a few years ago and its one of the best in that genre. I did grow to hate both lynette and Susan which ruined things a bit! Loved Gabby.

@Noglassjustthebottleandastraw yes I know what you mean about the actors talking so seriously about something that is light entertainment. Loved sunset beach, I will never get over the storyline where they actually had an identical evil twin brother!

Another vote for devious maids! Directed (?) Or produced or something by Eva Longoria. I know its on Disney starz in the US but when I look on the uk one i couldn't find it

@Noglassjustthebottleandastraw I think the Lynette thing was just because she was often so horrible to Tom and couldn't be happy for any success he had. I don't know she just rubbed me the wrong way - was the actress one of the ones caught up in the bribery for college places or am I confusing her with someone else?

Susan I felt was just so self-absorbed and overly ditzy. I didn't think it was great the way she leaned on her daughter. I hear Terri Hatcher and the other ladies did not get on. I always find it funny when you hear about actors hating each other and they have to play best friends, must be so awkward.

@UpToonGirl you have just reminded me that last night Lynette got Tom un promoted. How horrible of her. Who would do that?
Yeah she was and ended up doing community service and time I think. We seen that on a programme the other night that's what made us start watching DH.

That must be awkward acting like friends but not getting on. Yeah her dd is 14 and the stuff shes talking to her about 🤯

Love it seen it 3/4 times. Was gutted when it ended.! I loved Susan (apparently a complete cow in rl) and Mike and gabby and Carlos. So many funny story lines and I liked it when the kids got older and started causing havoc.

I love this show! I've watched it about 4 times think I might re watch it now! I've never watched anything that came close to this. I really hated the ending though and thought the last series let it down.

I loved it orginally. Not sure what channel it’s on now. Not sure can also go through hours of it again 😂

@Blondeshavemorefun it's on Disney 😊 I have 2 episodes left in season one. Still got loads of episodes to get through 😂

@autienotnaughty I remember the press weren't kind to her at the time saying she was a diva and not very nice. Was there not something about she always wanted a fan on her so Susan's hair would gently billow 😂

it is good but think was 8 series and all 23/24 apart R.E.M. one series being very short due to a writers strike

I loved this show at the time, don’t think I would rewatch it though!

I did watch Why Women Kill over lockdown and it was absolutely brilliant! In a forgettable way but great fun.

Ah I watched it when it was on actual Tele so it's been ages but it was brilliant

I loved it. Saw it first time around and again during one maternity leave. I properly cried in the final episode because it felt like I was going to miss out not knowing about their lives any more 😂 Now you have mentioned it I might go for a third round!

Currently rerunning on Disney Plus but very slowly (life getting in the way) but get through a couple of episodes a week!

Don't want to drop any spoilers if you're watching for the first time but some of the latter storylines annoyed me a bit - just in the sense that they were messing with a good thing! I'll leave that there...

@Uptoongirl yep that was Lynette with the college bribery, I think she avoided jail though and the one from 90210 came off worse...

I found I had forgotten loads of the storylines when I rewatched so really enjoyed it all over again. I have rewatched loads of old series, most recently Dexter from the beginning.

I loved it and watched it twice. I wish something similar was made as it's easy to watch and quite amusing. My favourite were Gabby and Bree.

I re watched it again starting last year, ending a few months ago
