She's the "good girl", like Aby and one of her cousins, Derek's daughter. I think she's a good actress.

I like Scarlett’s character and agree she is meant to be the anthesis to Janine: quiet, shy nerdy and kind/honest. I can see them having an Ab Fab relationship with sensible Scarlett dragging her mum out of all kinds of scrapes.

Some of the other characters have clearly been developed in their parent’s mould, e.g. Tiffany was similar to a young Bianca.

Also interesting that Janine’s abandonment of Scarlett is similar to the way Frank used to treat her.

I do wish they had more stable parents in EE. Practically every single child has been left behind at one point due to a parent dying, going to prison, battling addiction or giving them up for adoption. Karen is actually the best mum on the square in that respect although I think she has two other boys besides Keegan and Keanu who are never mentioned and have vanished into thin air🤔

Not fully caught up but I recall Stu saying to Vi that he couldn't be with Roly when he was in drugs. I think he feels dirty, but the being scared to bind thing would make more sense. I think at first it was he was in so much pain he physically couldn't help but was pretending to be in a better state than he was.
