Yes - she was raped as a teenager. I still remember the courtroom scene where Wilmott Brown's lawyer was trying to make out she was lying as she'd already 'cried rape' once before in her life and Kathy screaming back that just because she'd been raped once, didn't mean she was protected from being raped again and he was definitely guilty.

I think I would have only been about 11 or 12 at the time but I remember watching it so clearly.

Lewis is definitely playing Callum he is a sleazy character.

Charlie Brooks is a great actress, one of the best out there in my opinion. @MichaelAndEagle - that's what I like about Janine too - she'll let something of her slip and you see the real her!

Good acting from Ben tonight too though I did think oh no another drama for Ben, but he has been raped. Lewis is a nasty scheming gaslighting piece of work.

I agree Charlie Brooks is excellent. She brings a lot to the show and knows it’s more interesting playing her character three dimensionally, if you see what I mean, rather than a panto villain.

I was welling up last night in the last scene with Ben and Kathy and I guess we’re going to soon see some dramatic scenes with Kathy and Lewis. I vividly remember her rape story in 1988 with Wilmott Brown and have long thought Gillian Taylforth one of the more underrated actors in EE.

I believe airbags are connected to the seat belts (not necessarily physically iyswim) so if the seatbelt is 'plugged in' the airbag will go off and if not it doesn't.
