I'll never forgive Ben for what he did to Heather one of EE's nicest characters and I liked her a lot!
However, you can't help but feel a bit sorry for him being attacked like this , it was horrible and Lewis deserves to be in jail.
Same as Ben should not have attacked that other guy and Peter Beale ( even if it that was mistaken identity!)
It is a tricky storyline. Callum being strong is good though, shows he isn't a pushover.

for me, the best result would be Lewis goes to prison for rape and takes Ben down with him by telling the police about the attacks. Get rid of the pair of them.

Yes, Lewis should definitely get his comeuppance. Ben will need to go an awfully long way to make it up to Callum.

Southeastdweller I know what happened to Ben was wrong and he didn't deserve to be raped!! No one deserves that. Hopefully he'll tell Callum what happened soon. But I imagine Callum may not believe him because of his track record.

TV land is so odd. The fact he even lives in the Square after killing another resident is baffling. Esp since H's best friend also lives there. So weird!

I felt very little for him during his panick attack storyline when Callum was beaten up, afterall he removed protection from Jac's in prison without a second thought knowing he'd be beaten badly.

I'd forgotten about Jags. Ben is not a nice character at all and I hope Callum sees him for all he is.

Ive never understood why he's enamoured with Ben. There's really nothing likeable about him at all. He's certainly not a loveable rogue.

The fact he's so awful and the fact he intended on cheating on Callum makes it an interesting storyline and has already had an effect on viewers debating whether they feel sympathy for him etc. So it's a positive thing to have people talking about it, and I hope EE really hammers it home that it WAS rape and that no means no, regardless of how much you have done up to that point.

Ben didn't deserve to be raped, but like a previous poster said, I'm struggling to garner much sympathy. It's hard when the emotional connection to a character just isn't there mainly 'cause he's a pain in the tits.

I feel a little bit sorry for Ben because of his background, he was abused by Stella as a kid , his mum pretended to be dead for years , his dad struggled with him being gay at the start , the love of his life, Paul , was beaten up and killed , he was put in prison for manslaughter for killing Heather at a young age ( which he didn't mean to do , but still hard to forgive that one!) and his actions over Jags led to Callum also being attacked.
He tries to be the hard man like his dad , but it's not really how he wants to be. He also has hearing loss too from meningitis as a baby and now his been raped.
EE characters are indeed troubled souls ! !

I do have sympathy for his upbringing though his behaviour now is horrendous.

He needs to get therapy and sort his life out or go to prison for a long time.
