I know Kylie is a sacred cow, but did anyone else think she was crap on Jools Holland's Hootenanny?

She may make great pop records but a sultry piano-top chanteuse she ain't...She just doesn't have a great voice, which is fine for what she usually does, but not much else.

Yes, not so good-and the frock seemed to be to small for her, which given how petite she is is saying something

I thought she wasn't good. I also didn't think was any good when she performed at the final of the X Faxtor. And I think her current single is appalling. I think she should quit while she's ahead. I admire her, but I don't rate her as a performer.

I have never ever liked her, isipid, bland.

Yet I did enjoy her performances on the Hootenany, as she was rather more 'real' iyswim. I was surprised to see her move maybe?

Her voice is irritating, yet she could sing in tune.

I liked her, we thought she was a bit tipsy, mind you, too. Dress was awful, and she usually looks so good.

she needs to cut down on the face lifts, she has a distinctive feline look of late.

It was nice to see a modern icon with some flesh to them... It looked like an Herve Leger dress. But she can't really sing so the torch song was a mistake. & I agree with franke: her current single is just same-old, same-old. Maybe if 'Love-rat Oliver Whatsit' had stayed she'd have retired & had babies but as he didn't she's got nowt else to do. (like I'm so intimate with her life! )

Madonna's the same - a great pop star (love or loathe her) but a crap voice really.

I didn't see the Hootenanny but today her new song came on and her voice!!!! That saccharine helium sound made my ears hurt.

she is not great - and i seriously do not understand the kylie exhibition of her clothes - it's at kelvingrove art gallery in glasgow at the moment and i don't get it.

Why is she an icon? and who made her one?

I admire what she's achieved with her talents, but she did look like a maggot in that dress.

The dress was nasty and the singing was poor.

I quite liked her performance, and the dress, but it might only be because she was so shockingly bad in the Dr Who Christmas special. Oh my good lord, it must have taken everything David Tennant has to go on being so nice about her in all the interviews.

Saw a bit of it and I just think she looks freaky nowadays...too...much...plastic...surgery. She's starting to resemble that Bride of Wildensteen.

I thought she looked unafraid and womanly in that dress, she's got hips and obviously isn't ashamed of showing them, good for her. Also I thought she sounded good, she's a great performer.
That said, I'm not a fan really, and totally agre with the the poster who said she needs to calm down on the plastic surgery!

I saw Jon wotzisface ..simm on New Years Day and he sadi it had been recorded two weeks beforehand. Don't know why I was surprised really!
